Oh yeah I also wanted to mention someone told me there is a place in SJ called the Mmoon that serves vegan empanadas. I've never had an empanada! I see this place as a future lunch destination :D

Yeah I've been Zeni and I thought it was really good! It's always crowded, so that's probably a good sign.

My other suggestion is Moroccan. There's a place in SJ with a vegetarian menu - they have three vegetarian tagines and vegetarian cous cous.

Zeni is wonderful.
The Mmoon only has one kind of vegan empanada but they're reallly good!
I've been to Moroccos too and, uh, it's kind of expensive and I didn't really like it.

So I guess I'd vote for Zeni or the Mmoon!

fine by me! Should I see if my husband wants to come and then there will be another dude there? My husband might order a meat dish though, does that gross anyone out? If it does gross anyone out please feel free to be honest and say so, I really don't want to offend anyone and it won't bother me.

Also, that's the weekend I was supposed to run that half marathon I had to drop out of and that will make me sad, so I'm happy to have something fun to do instead of sitting around moping about the race!

Ok then, Zeni it is! I don't mind husbands/fiances ordering meat - I'd invite the guy I'm seeing but he'll be out of town.
So what time's good? 6? The wait can be long - I'm not sure if they take reservations or not.
