Can we talk about how beautiful this comet is? I am in awe.

I don't understand it, but I love it.

I will never never never get tired of looking at pictures of space stuff. It's so mind-blowingly gorgeous.

oh... BREATHTAKING! Gosh, if I could start over, I would have to be an astronaut for real this time.

I know, right? Except I'd never want to come back. Just launch me up with some food and books, I'll be okay.

No matter how horrifyingly depressed I get, all I have to do is take a quick stroll through the APOD archives to have my senses of childlike wonder and awe rightfully restored. HUDF is way better than Paxil.

^ Yeah, APOD is my homepage. I love looking at that stuff even when I have no idea what the hell they're talking about.

The whole colonization thing makes me nervous though; I don't want to see people fork it up!

That is incredible! I love astronomy. And I would totally volunteer for the 100 year mission. Would I be the first vegan in space?

Wow, this article really got me thinking. I kind of want to go to Mars on the 100 year mission. I mean, you could never come back, and you'd never breathe fresh air again, but how exciting! The downside would be that if you had children, they would probably be really forked up developmentally... Never having gravity would cause your bones to form irregularly, right?

Space is only a little under 200 miles away, it's sooooo close.

After watching all of Cosmos I have started reading the Pale Blue Dot, space will always be the place.

I need to get out to the country with a star filled sky before winter really comes.

And it's too big to post here, but if you want to have your mind blown something serious, go look at this huge picture of the Carina Nebula (the third photo above is a small part of it): http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/image/0704/carina_hst_big.jpg

I forget that, a lot. Seriously. As if our planet was an island in the space ocean and everything else is full of dolphins and all we've got is sand.

Well, maybe that's not so far off, metaphorically speaking. Oh well.

SPACE IS AWESOME.
