Okay guys, let's do this!
I'm going to suggest either October 15/16 or October 22/23 for an SF/East Bay/North Bay bakesale for the Walk for Farm Animals. Does anyone have any thoughts on dates, locations, or logistics? Who's in?

Apropos of nearly nothing, and providing absolutely no constructive help to your suggestion, I think we should have a vegan bakesale at next year's Butter and Eggs day parade in Petaluma.

I'm in! I think either weekend would work for me.
Any thoughts on where to hold it?

I'm in for either weekend. As for location, I am utterly unqualified to make suggestions.

Maybe in for 22/23. Are there any other events we can piggyback onto?

I was just thinking of that. I'm going to take a look and will report back.

One of those days is going to be a family thing I can't attend but it is unscheduled at the moment. Regardless, I am on to bake, and 99% sure I'll be able to help man the table/whatever as well.

The 15th is probably it, I won't be free then but if it works for everyone else, I can bake lots of stuff and drop it off!

I went to Petco today and there was a guy there doing publicity for his chinchilla rescue.
A) I GOT TO HOLD A CHINCHILLA. Now I must adopt all the chinchillas. OMG. It was amazing.
B) There's a "pet pride day" at Golden Gate Park on October 30th with SF Animal Care & Control, rescue organizations, etc. That might be a really good place to sell some baked goods?

Thanks, DC; that sounds like a great idea! Why don't we plan on October 30 at Golden Gate Park? I'll look into times/logistics and will post a tentative time/exact location here.

I will try and bake for this, but I think that day I am going to Santa Cruz.

Sounds good! I'm going to bake brownies and cinnamon rolls because those are the only two things i'm good at! Maybe I can rope Alex into pie making.

I'll probably make banana-oat balls and bundt cake of some sort.

I will make some form of cupcake! And also possibly/probably something else. Maybe a loaf. I like loafs. Or cookies. Or brownies. Or ALL THE FOOD.
Or maybe a savory scone. Who knows yet?! I always decide these things shortly before I actually do them.

Okay, so it looks like the Pet Pride event is at Sharon Meadow in GGP from 11:00 - 3:00. I'm going to try and contact SFACC, the organizer of the event, and see if they object to us setting up right at the event. It looks like they have vendors planned, so we may have to set up nearby and try to attract people from the event, but that's fine. Provided it's a nice day, we should have plenty of people to come buy our stuff!

Yay! I am super-excited about this. I hope someone has a pup they can bring or something. I have a harness and leash for my cat, I don't think bringing her would be wise.

My sister would like to help from afar, so I roped her into designing a flier for us for the sale. :) So as soon as we know time/exact place, I can get her on that!

SF Vegan Bakesale just tweeted that their next bakesale will be on the 30th.
Maybe there will be enough of a crowd from the event...but I dunno.

Okay, I've emailed the organizers of the SF Bake Sale to see if they're amenable to merging the two sales. That might actually be easier for us, since they have all the tables and stuff that we'd likely need, so hopefully that will work out!
