Seriously??? I was not going to buy this one, I was going to maintain some semblance of self control. Then I looked at the preview and saw that you had cheesecake recipes in there, and not just any cheesecakes. Ones with pumpkin, and ones with Kahlua, and all sorts of tasty things that I love. Fork.

I had a bad moment today when I realised the release date is 25 October. I've had it pre-ordered for ages and all along thought it was 25 September. Sadness. Isa - when your bf passed out the preview pages at DC VegFest I even thought 'yeah yeah, the book will be here this week anyway'. My bad! Glad I got one though, I want to get crackin on me pies (pls use Aussie accent when reading that sentence in your heads).

Yay! I don't really like regular two crust pie (though my family does) but I like creamy ones. Especially lemon, and pumpkin, and..they all sound delicious.
So many crusts, too!

The cheesecakes are totally awesome and you don't need commercial vegan cream cheeze to make them!

I am super excited for this book. I don't have much of a sweet tooth so I didn't get the other two dessert books, but I love me some pie.

It looks awesome! My mum is so excited about this, I made the lemon mousse pies once when she came to visit and she hasn't forgiven me for not giving her the recipe yet.

I'm so excited for this book. I haven't tried to make pie in forever because I didn't think I can do it, but I know with Isa and Terry telling me what to do it will happen.

Is there much in it that's gluten-free?
My friend, who is most decidedly not vegan, is a big pie fan and a great baker -- I may get him this to open him up to some vegan baking options!

Definitely! I'd seriously made like, two pies in my entire life before testing. Pie isn't really a big deal here. But now I'm a pie pro, and they're my new favourite thing to make. Pie has changed my life and I intend to find a suitably melodramatic talk-show audience to profess this to.

My friend, who is most decidedly not vegan, is a big pie fan and a great baker -- I may get him this to open him up to some vegan baking options! Most of the filling are gluten free. If you use gluten free cookie crusts then you'll have a large variety to choose from! If you want to take it a step beyond, you can use a gluten free flour mix in place of AP flour for the pastry crusts.

I just had a browse through the index and spotted Key Lime Pie. I'm so excited! I have never even had this before but have always wanted to try it (I love citrus-based desserts). Even DH is excited.
As Erinnerung said, pie isn't big here, but lemon meringue pie has always had a pretty constant following, so I expect to wow people with key lime pie, amongst other things.
