Oh yeah! I'm sorry, I completely forgot to say thanks for hooking us up Amey!!!!
I'm planning on making:
-chef chloe flatbread, since that was popular last time -cinnamon rolls -whole wheat chocolate chip cookies
and either -bagels with some different spreads (hummus, veg nutella, peanut butter, pesto, and maybe vegan cream cheese) -gingerbread cake squares with rad whip on the side
Does anyone know of a good vegan cream cheese recipe? The Tofutti stuff is ok in recipes but I don't really like how it tastes plain on a bagel....unless maybe I mix it with some herbs or other things to cover the slightly weird after taste.

Yay Autumn is bringing her amazing cinnamon rolls!!
I don't know of any cream cheese recipes. I think Vegan Brunch had a bunch of mix-in ideas for Tofutti though.

yeah, i think tofutti is sorta nasty on its own. Probably sticking to other spreads will be better.
I have various ideas related to my mofo theme. Will try to use up some of my exotic ingredients, if possible. I was thinking of doing something like cinnamon rolls, but with a nut & cardamom filling (instead of cinnamon). And of course lots of easy things like cookies. Will also try to make some GF stuff so that no one goes home with a frowny face.

also, I talked to the guy from the cafe called Chocolate - he was really sweet, but agreed that it would be nice if we didn't do anything too chocolatey like brownies or chocolate cake... but chocolate chip cookies would be fine. It's a slight bummer, since chocolate always sells, but still I think the location is really worth it. We can have a few things where chocolate is an ingredient, but just not a whole table of chocolate overload. How does that sound?
it will inspire us to move in to the chai, autumn, pumpkin, pear, fruity realms of desserts!

I totally get the no chocolate overload thing. It seems like the courteous thing to do. I definitely need to get my hands on some canned pumpkin - mmm!
Thanks again for the organization and talking to the cafe person Amey.

I have a bunch of Halloween cookie cutters so I was thinking of doing Halloween sugar cookies, but I don't have icing sugar or Earth Balance. If I can get my hands on those two things I will make some!
Those witches fingers cookies are pretty neat!

Those witches fingers cookies are pretty neat! I don't mind dropping off any baking stuff you need or driving you to the store. I'm going to take off work early on Friday to get a head start on baking.

Oh hey cool! If you don't mind I would totally love to get a couple of things. If you want to go together there's a Trader Joe's around and a Safeway pretty nearby. If it's easier for you to just drop stuff off that's cool too.
I actually have an embarrassing amount of holiday-themed cookie cutters (I got a giant box full at an estate sale a few years ago)...Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas, Valentine's, St. Patty's, Easter, if you ever need a holiday cookie cutter you know who to come see!

Hey I just thought of something. Does anyone have a folding lawn chair or something I could borrow for the bakesale day? I'm such a Grandma.

Hey do you guys have any tiered stands to put goodies on?
Carrie, I only have like a little folding 3-legged backpacking stool but if no one has anything better I can bring it.

DETAILS!
Okay friends, so, let's say 10:30-2:30 does that sound good? 4 hours of prime munching time.
I can bring my mom's 4 card tables (the same ones we used last time), and I think we have plenty of tableclothes.
I'll make a sign to hang up.
I have one cake stand, which is nice for presenting goodies... does anyone else have cake stands? they work well instead of tiered things. Bring pretty platters.
Can someone make little blank signs for us to write what each thing is? I can bring markers
I'll make a little sign/flyer, and facebook event!
Maybe meet at 10:00 at Bookshop SC to set up? Hopefully it won't be raining!

A tiered stand jumped into my cart last night at Target (clearance, woo!) And I can bring index cards to ID things - maybe we should write the ingredients on the back, in case people have allergies? I'll also grab paper bags and napkins unless someone else has them.

I still have paper bags from last time but probably not enough. I'll still bring them though. I've got some paper plates and potato forks I can bring too. I have a few pretty platters I bought for the wedding and I'll drop by goodwill today and see if they have any cake stands!
I might not do cinnamon rolls this time, esp if Amey's going to make some neat-o cardamom ones!
Is anyone going to do gluten free stuff? I'm willing to try (esp if you guys can recommend recipes that don't involve buying lots of new ingredients) but I can't guarantee they'll come out well! I'm cruising xgfx.org right now for ideas. I saw Bob's red mill has a gf pizza dough mix. Maybe I can do a gf flatbread...
Niru - just let me know on Friday if you want to donate some baked goods!

yeah, I think it's a really good idea to have the ingredients at hand.
I logged on to say that anytime you can make something gluten free &/or soy free &/or nut free, all the better, because then those folks can have treats too! Then i saw couroupita's post. I'll try to make some cookies and such GF. Maybe even some muffins?
I'll bring whatever paper plates and such I can find. between all of ours, we should have enough.

Also, I'm useless for going out and getting platters and bags and plates and stuff. Since I'm being such a bum I better make sure my baking is up to snuff!
