I keep envisioning either the Battlestar Galactica or Serenity cruising through these pictures and then I get even a smidge happier to be looking at them.

My new pickup line is totally going to be, "have you ever had sex in space? do you want to?" And then if they say yes, I will just take them back to my apartment and act totally indignant when they mention that my bedroom isn't in space. YES IT IS.

People always think when I say Electra that I'm talking about one of Zues's mistresses, but I'm really just talking about the star in the Pleiades.

I used to look at Hubble images all day long, kind of miss those days.

I love space too!! Does anyone participate in SETI@home? It's a program that you can install and will run in the background of your PC...it will download packets of space data from SETI, examine it for signals of extraterrestrial life, then send the analysis back to Berkeley. I was a member for years, before I got my new Macbook...but I will join again! Here is the program: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/

Imagine being the person who finds something.

Seriously, if you haven't looked at this, go look at this. I made it my desktop yesterday and now every time I look at my computer I get dreamy "I love space" eyes. I could stare at it forever.

Give it time, we'll get to wafflesex in space. Because all wafflesex happens in space. Space has stared into the tiny syrup holes of our shame and it does not judge us.

I really want to go see the last space shuttle launch in February. And then I will totally geek out at the space center all day.

Also, Harvard has public observatory nights once a month. I only went once, but I saw Saturn and its rings through a telescope and it was so awesome.
