OK, WOW. I was wondering about the credits thing that was mentioned too... that's definitely a US-only thing. It's just the TARDIS flying through space here with everyone's names flashing up in order. No Amy thing. That version is so weird and wrong!!

Holy shiitake that is the first time I've seen those credits too. That is just bizarre and horrible, and I love Amy too.

Yeahhhh, there's some seriously timey-wimey shiitake going on! I hope it gets explained sooner rather than later. Wasn't there also a weird part in the last one where Rory was speaking in the past tense for no discernible reason? And i've heard some speculation that there are some costume switches that might be significant and hint at some weird time stuff, but I haven't paid enough attention to notice that.

That is truly horrible and unnecessary. I think most of the people who would bother with watching a British sci-fi series on BBC America are already gonna know what it's about and wouldn't have to be reminded every time it aired.

I'm watching 'The God Complex' and the eleventh Doctor seems to run into Muslim women who are clever and he adores and would kick asparagus as a companion (Nasrine in the one about the reptiles hibernating under the surface from season 5, and now Rita in this episode).
Just a stray thought. They were both awesome characters and would be fascinating companions.

So I finally gave in and started watching, and you (and the rest of the internet) were all right, this is a great show. :D I love it! I started with the latest season, that episode The Eleventh Hour, and now I'm about four in. It's so great!

Timey wimey yes. Does this mean that between the God Complex episode and this last one the doctor went and aged 200 years? He is preparing to go to Utah and die per the first episode this season, and doesn't he say he's two hundred something years older then?

Who is the Doctor? And him having to stop running from himself, so it has to do with his character rather then his name or species. At least that is my idea.

wait, are they setting it up so that river is the companion next season? IF SO I AM EXCITED.
I liked a lot of this episode, but I think they could have done a lot of the same things but in a cleaner way. I felt like a lot of the wackiness in the alternate timeline and the constant jumping around in the timeline of the story was superfluous and took away from what was actually happening.

So here's the thing. About Amy, from my perspective. You know what's particularly awesome about her? She's Scottish. And what I mean by that is she's Scottish and on a mainstream primetime tv show and not a drug addict or a thug or a thief or a mentally unstable person. Because that's how it always seems to roll here. If you're Scottish and playing a Scottish person in a tv show you are automatically drawn down as being an addict or a crazy person or just generally unseemly. It peas me the fork off and that's part of why I love her and Steven Moffat so. Also, she's super hot, so there's that too.

But anyway... the wedding was perfect. I want to get married holding the other half of someone's bow tie. Word.
Did anyone else kind of see his "loophole" from a mile away? I think Amy's ganger was a bit of foreshadowing. Sort of. If you know what I'm saying. I'm just worried that his timey-wimey adventures won't be as boo-yah if he's in hiding. Okay, not really WORRIED, per se, just concerned. YAY FOR RIVER. And the face that Amy made as she realized that she was the Doctor's MIL, and the face she made after River suggested she may need another drink CRACKED ME UP!!! (I've had a lot of tea, ignore my enthusiasm.) I had to rewind them and watch again.
I liked it, but I thought it was...well, anti-climactic. It built up and then...was over. What? I still hate Amy, and I think Rory could do way better than her.
And I totally hope River is in every episode next season as the companion. Oh boy would that be amazing.
eta: all the random Rose Tyler moments are making me so sad. Like the comment about helping Rose Tyler with her homework? baaaaah.
