My bathroom has a leak and is full of water so I took a shower upstairs and used some of my dad's stupid j&j baby shampoo (no conditioner). My hair is the shiniest, softest, and nicest I can ever remember it being. $43 worth of Aveda color conserve shampoo and conditioner doesn't do this.

My mom and I have laughed at my dad for years for using that stuff (he insists he has baby fine hair, which always starts us off on a wave of hilarity). My mom noticed how shiny my hair looked and I had to admit in my dad's hearing that I used his shampoo, which I guess pretty much made his week, he looked so smug.

If I go track down a more vegan acceptable baby shampoo than j&j products, is it going to be this good?

I used to wash my hair with Target brand baby shampoo; it didn't do great things for my hair unfortunately. At that time I was going back and forth between poo and no-poo and ultimately decided that no-poo was better. Could be the quality of the product however. Now I use a lovely vegan poo and conditioner from a local salon (Gadabout); it's mid-price I'd say and makes my hair lovely.

I don't know if Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash is comparable (or vegan?) -

Not sure of the glycerin origins . . .

Wow. Sucks about your bathroom, sorry!
Live Clean is a great vegan brand of bath items that's made in Canada. They are at www.live-clean.com I see they also have a "try it and love it, or your money back" guarantee with the baby shampoo, can't go wrong there!

I really like Jason's Kids Only shampoo. When I was using it, I didn't have to wash my hair as much and it was still nice and shiny.

Welcome to the world of sulfate-free shampoo. Almost all of it makes your hair feel amazing.
