As Erinnerung said, pie isn't big here, but lemon meringue pie has always had a pretty constant following, so I expect to wow people with key lime pie, amongst other things.

I'm also an Aussie expecting to wow other Aussies with my vegan pies. And I will.

The recipe in the book is a bit different and a bit better!

Yay! I made this today and quite like it, so if the book recipe is better then this is a keeper for Christmas day celebrations, as it is so hot here that time of year and this would be perfect, particularly with non-dairy vanilla icecream. I haven't ever had this before, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it is very tasty.

Haha, I lost 30 pounds while testing for the pie book, mainly by training for triathlon, but also because most of what I ate besides pie was from AFR!

Seriously??? I was not going to buy this one, I was going to maintain some semblance of self control. Then I looked at the preview and saw that you had cheesecake recipes in there, and not just any cheesecakes. Ones with pumpkin, and ones with Kahlua, and all sorts of tasty things that I love. Fork.

The cheesecakes are totally awesome and you don't need commercial vegan cream cheeze to make them!
That's what I love most about Isa's books. They don't use any, or very little, commercial subsitute cheeses or meats.

Mmm. Apple Raspberry lattice pie in the oven now. Taking it to work for a lunch meeting tomorrow. I'm wishing I had made a second for us. My dad is hanging around the oven looking wistful.

I got this email from Amazon this morning. Do I still want it? Hmmm.

We're still trying to obtain the following item[s] you ordered on September 21 2011 (Order #702-4466401-5449041):

Isa Chandra Moskowitz, Terry Hope Romero "Vegan Pie in the Sky"
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/0738212741

Still want it? We'll keep on trying.

I'm stealing some recipes from the look inside feature because I CANNOT WAIT. Isa, I love you for making the whole book available to look inside.

A few people have reported that they got Amazon notices saying the book would ship in 2 days. Anyone else?

In the meantime, I've made a page for VPITS (haha Vee Pits!) on PPK.

I'm really curious about this! I've never gotten any kind of notice like that from Amazon, and I didn't this time either.

Awesome! My neighborhood bookstore somehow always has the newest Isa and/or Terry book the second it's available, so I'll go check for it!
