I subscribed to this feed: http://www.veganmofo.com/feed/rss/

I thought it was just the veganmofo's blog feed, but it has all the blogs.

I do think it is appropriate to request permission from the cookbook author to repost a recipe (unless you have modified it heavily, but still give credit for inspiration). I know we've talked about this a million times, but all of the vegan cookbook authors I can think of have an approachable online presence, and they will usually say yes unless they have a really good reason not to. All it takes is a quick email!

If you ask and get permission (or if you know for a fact that the author doesn't mind), that's one thing. But I don't think a recipe is mine to post just because I got the cookbook.

That's somebody else's work.

Can I bisque out Captchas? I don't want to start a whole new thread just to whine about that, but, seriously! I feel like my life is being taken over by warped gibberish that I have to regurgitate!

I don't know, give them time! I had to take off a couple of days because of the flu. Who knows what's keeping them.

They are, but so is deleting spam! Rarely, but sometimes a real comment gets flagged as spam, so I scroll through the list to make sure they're all f'reals weiner boosters and eyepad hawkers before I delete them all.

But there are so many blogs, if the person isn't someone you really like/the blog is amazing, I would just delete them from your subscription if it bothers you. I went through and heavily edited mine, and one of the criterias was 'if you make me go to your site to read the full entry, you're out'. Some people who I really like do that and that's fine, but for keeping up with MoFo, delete!

You can also delete anyone using honey, if that bothers you.

I added it to my blog after getting lots of spam comments. Not that I had a ton, but at one point I when I hadn't posted in a while, was only getting spam comments!

Also: http://www.captchart.com/ Some of these made me die laughing. 4chan had a big thread of them that had me in stitches, too.

I took the Captcha thing off my blog just before MoFo because I remember finding them pretty annoying when you're trying to comment on a tonne of blogs!

I didn't know that was a thing (I've been opening new tabs for all of the blogs I want to read), do you know how you find out if your blog's set to do this?

Jojo, yours pops up in it's entirety on both my readers. So, I guess someone telling you is a good way to find out?

Ha, it is indeed! Thanks! I had a look in my settings & I think I've worked out which bit does that. I also realised that you can change the way the comment box pops up!

Yay for MoFo teaching me how to use blogger properly!

Don't you have your own blog in your reader? I do, so I can see what it looks like to others.

It should also pop up in the fresh MoFo feeds.

Aargh! I just realized that I gave the wrong link for my feed when I signed up, so it looked like I hadn't updated since the summer even though I've posted every day! I've emailed that address on the site, but now nobody is ever going to see it since everyone's probably already got the big list of feeds in their reader or whatever. Anyway, here's the correct link:

MoFo fail!
