Hey PPKers

Whether you like me or my blog, please help me make my 1 million US hit goal. I get $3 for every 1,000 US impressions from FoodBuzz. With a million hits, I could raise $3,000 for two local charities and myself to help with medical bills. 1/3 will go to my local food bank, 1/3 will go to the local humane association, and 1/3 will go towards my families medical bills.

Share the news with your buddies, on your social networking sites, and in skywriting. I can't do this alone, but I believe in miracles. Even if I do not hit 1 million, I still intend to split the money between the two charities and leave myself out of the equation if it isn't even close. Last year I was able to give $30 to my local food bank--I raised $15 and Mr. J matched my funds.

How are the hits counted? If I visit your blog a million times do you win? Because I will totally visit your blog a million times if that will make you win.

Rachel, unfortunately, only US hits count for FoodBuzz. But I love visitors from all over the world.

CQ, one million US impressions will help me reach my goal. I don't really win anything, I just have more $$ to give to the food bank and animal shelter. If I'm closer to a million, I'm taking a third of the $ because we have some medical bills to pay.

There's a counter at the bottom of the page, but it is not correct for mofo. It is the all time count since I started the blog 3 years ago. I can say that since MOFO started I've racked up about 3 thousand impressions, but I don't know if all of them are US. If they are, then that's $9 that we've raised.

I know I shot myself in the foot when I left FaceBook because I had a ton of people I could network with there, but it was really driving me spiritually crazy. So every day I have been tweeting using #veganmofo and #trueblood, and that's helped. I've also updated my FoodBuzz account each day with a link to reach out to vegetarians and omnivores to check out what I'm doing. Prior to MOFO, I sent press releases to all forms of media in Btown and no one called me wanting more information. Boo. I'm hoping the food bank and animal shelter will tweet/facebook/myspace/etc. the information to their followers.

One Million US Hits is a really high goal, some would say too high. But I honestly believe in miracles, and I really love my food bank and local animal shelter. I hate being part of the working poor and really want to do nothing more than to give to a couple of agencies that give so much to Btown.

I keep checking it and sending the page to my husband via stumbleupon, without mentioning my evil plan of just trying to get your hit count up. I've also sent it to a non-vegan friend, but I think he would get tired of seeing it repeatedly.

I see me making him that catfish in the very near future.
