I just received a grocery bag full of green tomatoes. The only thing I've ever heard of is fried green tomatoes, but I don't have a recipe. Obviously I could make some random recipe from the internet, but does anyone have a specific recipe they enjoy? Any other recipes using these would be much appreciated as well!

You definitely need to experience the joy that is fried green tomatoes! I don't have a recipe to recommend, but can say that I do prefer regular flour over corn meal coatings. And then whip up some ranch dressing for dipping them in after you cook them.
Green tomatoes are also good diced and added to chili.

Apparently, if you put them in a single layers in a brown paper bag (think grocery paper bag) with layers of crumpled packing paper between the layers, they will ripen up. Just in case you don't use 'em all up right away.

Pickled green tomatoes are one of my favorite things.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to try this recipe for fried green tomatoes tonight. They do use cornmeal but I have enough that I can try every variation! And after tasting one I bet these would go well in almost any recipe that usually uses tomatillos, so I'm going to try a few from Viva Vegan.

I use them in any recipe that calls for tomatillos and they taste great.

Chow chow! My mum used to make it, like a lot of people here. Here's one recipe plus a good picture of the blogger's mother:
