Battle of the Network Zombies by Mark Henry It's book 3 in the Amanda Feral Zombie series, and so far, I'm liking it even better than the 2nd. She's such a bisque.

I've got this terrible habbit of reading too many books at once. Right now, I'm in the middle of The House of the Seven Gables, Hex, Beware the Cat, and The Urban Homestead. If only I had the time to finish them.

If only I had the time to finish them. Ha! I got myself into the same kind of trouble some time at the beginning of September - but now I'm finally back to one book at a time! I don't really know how I did this. BTW, I Shall Wear Midnight is totally about the terrorist scare being exactly the same as a witch-hunt. One of the Nac Mac Feegle even says, "A big boy did it and ran away!" - and I just learned that that's the title of a "terrorist thriller" published in 2001 or something.

I'm reading True Grit since I found out the Coen's have a movie version out next month. I've never seen the original so I'm not sure how it will compare, but I am going to check it out since I love those bros and Mr. Bridges.

It's about all kinds of crazy things, places and people, and I wish I could just go there and use it as a sort of travel guide. If you've read his novels, you might vaguely recognize some things, especially the story about the car with the coffeemaker welded to the roof... ;)

I'm re-reading Jitterbug Perfume and also Vegan Freak the revised edition.
The husband [who's really into neuroscience and is currently taking classes on the subject] told me that those who read nonfiction and fiction at the same time are just utilizing both sides of the brain. So kudos to those who are being efficient!

I'm reading The Secret of Scent by Luca Turin. It is interesting if you are fascinated by chemistry and the human experience of sensing the world around us. But, the author made this sort of weird pro intelligent design comment toward the beginning that is making me wary of the rest of the book.

I've settled for Clive Barker's Books of Blood for now. But I don't really like his style that much, so I might switch to either Viriconium or The Laughing Man by Victor Hugo as soon as I get fed up.

"The Once and Future King". It reminds me so much of the cartoon, which I watched a million times as a kid!

I'm reading The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. I don't think it's quite living up to the hype, but I'm enjoying it.
