Got a sale flyer from Hancock Fabrics yesterday. Butterick and McCall's patterns will be 99 cents each (limit 10 per customer) November 6 - 9. In-store only. Excludes Butterick See and Sew and McCall's Stitch n Save and Hot Patterns.

It seems like there might be a better way to refer to people who sew... This was a mildly startling subject to see in the list.

According to the dictionary there isn't a difference between the spelling though.

Haha I definitely read it as the crafty type of sewer. Guess that's where my mind's at.

...or mine. 8) I dunno. I think "seamstress" or "tailor" implies that it's professional. I don't know if there's a better word to use. For now I will just snicker to myself.

What about 'stitcher'? Or does that imply surgeon/doctor? Or a position in the zombie society that involves sewing limbs back on? I think we should resolve this issue on the PPK, it will end the hostility between the sewing and plumbing community.
