I made the black bean burgers from Peas and Thank You today. They were tasty, but fall-a-party. I'm glad I didn't plan on cooking them on the grill.

The first time I made these they were fragile but I think I processed everything (not what the recipe said to do) but since I followed the directions (ha!) they dont fall apart anymore.

I made her mac & cheese recipe over the weekend. I LOVED it!!! It's very expensive, using an entire bag of Daiya - but at least I got that on sale. :) And it made so much that it lasted a few meals. I am so making this again!

I bought her book recently, and have made her "crazy good hummus" and the tofu "fun nuggets". Both really are "crazy good".

Her hummus recipe is quite identical to my own, with the exception of her peeling every single chickpea. When I read this I laughed, but then my curiousity got the better of me and I was peeling an entire can of chickpeas, one by one. It was actually kind of satisfying in a weird little way.

Anyway. Tedious? Very. Delicious? Yes. Crazy good. The only thing is that I found her recipe to be rather thick and dry, so I added about 1/4 cup of water. No biggie.

The fun nuggets were tasty, and my toddler loves them too, which is great, because he's pretty picky. Win win.

Oh and hi, I'm new. :-)

Hi Chords, welcome! I make her Tofu Fun Nuggets regularly as my 6 year old love them. Actually my husband does too. I found the Crazy Good Hummus too garlicky. This could have been my fault though, I can't remember exactly because it was awhile ago when I made it, but more than likely I used huge cloves. My usual motto is 'too much garlic is not enough', now I know that actually this does not hold true for hummus.

Thanks :-)

Yes, I'm usually of the persuasion that 2 cloves of garlic in the recipe = 4 in my reality, but I actually wanted to try her recipe to a "t" (save for the extra water to thin it out). Two was def enough in this case.

I forgot to add that I also made her energy bars, using almond butter. They were a bit TOO good, as we ate most of the pan in one day. What self control?

I made another pan and wrapped the bars in froze them individually for meals/snacks. They're kind of like a Clif bar, but better.
