I'm excited to be treating myself to a day trip down to Monterey tomorrow on my day off. Is there anywhere in Monterey that is a vegan MUST GO (specifically for lunch)? I'm going to be parking down near the bay/aquarium, and I'd like to just leave the car all day, so something walkable would be nice, but I can always move the car if needed.
No big deal if there's nothing, but I thought I'd check so I won't end up with traveler's remorse!

No problem! It's not exactly vegan meca, but we have a good time whenever we go. There's also a place called The Bagel Bakery that works for a good breakfast/lunch spot. All of the bagels, except the one's that obviously aren't, are vegan.
And Papa Chevos has decent burritos

So I guess there is now a vegan restaurant in Carmel called Mon Chay? So that's cool.
Oh, and I forgot, right in the same shopping center in Carmel there's a pizza place called Allegro that has Daiya. We ate their last time we were in town and it wasn't too shabby! I would ask for extra sauce next time.
