Hi ya all! The 1st of June I'll be visiting Sheffield with to friends, to see John Simm play in The Crucible. We're taking this chance to go walking in the Peak District and have a nice girls' weekend out. Now where do I take my omni friends to have a nice vegan dinner & lunch? Your help will be much appreciated!

How fortuitous, I'm going to Sheffield next month so any recommendations would be extra-helpful.

Not the Blue Moon. I went once and it was dull food, not clearly labelled, busy and rushed and generally poor.

If you don't object to eating in a pub, try the Fat Cat, it does vegan, vegetarian, meat and gluten free. I went with a mixture of people and everyone was happy. The vegan food is lovely and there's a real cat as well.

I live in Sheffield, and I can warmly recommend Homemade http://www.homemade-sheffield.co.uk/ The food is really good, the atmosphere is great, it has a little shop with local products... Big thumbs up! My experience with the Blue Moon Cafe is that the food is okay, but not brilliant. Not been to the Fat Cat since going vegan but having read the post above, I'll definitely check it out soon.
