I JUST watched the last 2 episodes...had been making myself wait because of finals. So much going on...I agree, a lot of unexpectedness at the end.
I am so sick of Van Alden. I could totally do without him next season.

So I have a few questions.
Who was the guy that "commited suicide?" Why did Margaret sign away the land? Is she going to leave now or be like "Yeah, I gave the land to the church." Also, what's her forking problem?
Will Richard and Meemoo hook up?
Is the Van Alden story line over now?

The "suicide" guy was the interim county treasurer who was also one of Randolph's witnesses. I am annoyed by Margaret! I think she wants to punish Nucky (for all his sins) and the only way to hurt him seems to be harming him financially.
Van Alden story: He is in Cicero! Cicero!!

Quote: Is the Van Alden story line over now? Van Alden ended up in Cicero, which is where Capone moved in the mid-20s to escape the Chicago police, so I feel like we haven't seen the last of him.

margaret could tell he was lying, so that's why she signed away the land. (however, she did give the deed to katie, so who knows if it'll ever make it's way to the church)
meemo is too cold to hook up with richard. especially since she called him a simpleton. i doubt he'd even want to.

I finally finished the season and am shocked they killed off Jimmy. And Nucky doing it himself was way harsh. How do you root for a guy who shoots his surrogate son in the face?
Good riddance to his creepy mother if we never see her again (although I'm sure we will, blech), but I do not want this to be the end of Richard! They have to find something else for him to do!
As for Margaret, I don't understand her at all. I know she's trying to atone for Nucky's sins (because she totally knows he killed Jimmy), but is she intentionally sabotaging him? Makes no sense for her to do that now that they're married and she needs his money now more than ever, with her sick daughter and all.

Yeah, as reprehensible as so many of the characters are, she bugs me the most. Maybe because she pretends to have morals?

Yeah, I think that's it. Her sins may be minor in comparison, but she's still a huge forking hypocrite. And her actions are all over the place so I don't ever know what her motivations are.
