I got some ready to roll icing from the Co-op yesterday. It's lush! Really nice and smooth and tastes like vanilla ice cream :)

I keep getting errors too. Anyway, squee! I can't think of anything more constructive to add really. I'll be back in the UK on Saturday I hope and am looking forward to having some foods at Stereo and 78 soon-ish.
Now, lets see if I can manage not to post eleventy-nine-million times at once.

I'm quite excited too - we end up eating there quite often, it would be great to have an extra option! And the novelty of ordering a pizza without saying 'no cheese', that would be quite something!

I'm sure they used to sell banana leaves in Taj a while ago - when it was just the one on Western Road. Philly totally puts Brighton to shame on the sheer number of vegan options available here. We've eaten like kings, and now my trousers don't do up.

Where in the South can I get masa flour & tomatillos? I don't need them urgently I just want to be prepared when I run out!
In Vianna there's a Mexican store that sells frozen guac, avocado pulp & churros! There's so much good vegan stuff there! There's a cheese called No Muh Chas & the meltey version's the best thing ever - I got back yesterday & I've already almost finished an entire tube of it!

Rachel, I'll check Taj for banana leaves on Saturday, thanks! I don't know why I didn't think of that.
oooh save me lie 1/4 teaspoon just to try it?! I've been gagging to try that No Muh Chas stuff!
You can get Masa at Whole Foods and the Cool Chile Co, but that's not so convenient to Brighton I know. The latter does mail order though. They sometimes have tomatillos too (they have a wicked tomatillo salsa)!

was thinking about pizza express after voting so went with toby. the tables had a text vote for the pizza so he voted, and in return got a text giving us a code for free dough balls, which are vegan and you can ask them to change the garlic butter for pretty much anything. i then had a leggera with yummy veggies and changed the cheese for artichoke hearts. muahaha. however, don't get the roasted tomatoes. they're frozen. yeah, what?
we also ate at Las Iguanas the other day. it is yummy there. the cassava fries are garlicky and crispy and ridiculously awesome. And I had a brazilian moqueque which is a big thing of tomatoey veggies but the veggies are things like cassava and palm hearts. it was nommm. I seriously love cassava now. And they have fancy drinks there.

Yeah I think I've seen tomatillo salsa around but I really want to make my own due to my stupid aversion to spice! I did some googling & found a place in Bethnal Green that sells tomatillos which'd be better than mail order because I imagine the postage'd be expensive for a big heavy can! I didn't realise you could get masa at Whole Foods, that's awesome!
Kip, I will attempt to save you some No Muh Chas!

Alien, I always get the dough balls at Pizza Express, they're yummy just with olive oil although I did once sneak in a little tub of Pure!
It'd be SO cool if Pizza Express had a falafel pizza, I don't mind pizza just with veggies but Nick (Mr Jojo on the PPK) went vegan and hates pizza with just veggies & I can't think of a single other place my family'll agree to eat at!

I'm scared of the newness of this thread. It's like when someone turns the lights on at the end of the disco.
Also, my partner ate all my chocolate from my swap package - :(
