My first owlie. (100% cotton scraps, two random buttons, stuffed with what used to be a cotton sweater.)
As soon as I find a source for better eyes (hehe, Frankenstein!), I'm going to make a lot of owlies.

I wish I could give credit to this knitter, but I don't know who she is. This was posted on Ravelry and is pretty much the greatest photo of knitting and a cat I have ever seen. That cat looks exhausted from being put in a sweater. This is also my back-up plan of what to do with myself should I ever end up single again. Please don't inform my cats.

Have you guys seen this designer on Ravelry? I have decided to make these slippers for my sister and these mitts for my friend.

After Xmas I want to make the fawn poncho,"oh my bear" sweater and the meow mitts for myself!

I haven't knitted in forever, but now I'm in serious need of some scarves and hats (yay! for commuting to an altitude of 3500 feet!).

So, I can find plenty of nice stuff for my personal needs, but I need help finding a good yarn for this hat:
http://www.helloyarn.com/wecallthempirates.htm

I made one for my husband several years ago before giving up wool. Now a few fibers broke in it so it's starting to unravel. I've tried a few times to find some acrylics but the pattern always just looked horrible so I've kind of given up. What yarn is forgiving enough for a project like this? Blocking is a huge plus.

That's a cute pattern! Did you check what yarns people have used on ravelry? That's what I usually do, 'cause I don't know a lot about what's available. It looks like someone used Knit Picks Comfy Sport (cotton/acrylic) and it came out really well: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/tatinaa ... em-pirates . I also saw that someone used Berocco Comfort.

i just drove 45 minutes to check out a fabric store that had good online reviews for apparel fabric only to find that it was all quilting fabric and they didn't sell notions.

A couple items I finished up with old yarn I had laying around.

Pasta: I can't believe you found her. I searched for "cats" and "sweaters" trying to find the old thread, but it's crazy how many "crazy old cat ladies" there are on that board that attempt to put cats in sweaters. (I'm not calling anyone names, I consider myself well on my way to crazy old cat lady status)

That cardigan's great! I've never made a sweater, but my mother's promised me she'll help me start the paulie cardigan from Ravelry when I go home for Christmas.
