Melisser Elliott, the author of "The Vegan Girl's Guide to Life" (www.vegangirlsguide.com) is coming to Monclair NJ to our favorite vegan ecostore Go Lightly (http://www.golightlystore.com/) to sell and sign copies of her new book! Come meet her, hang out, ask all those questions you've always wanted answers to about veganism, starting a vegan business or just swing by to get a copy of your book signed.

The signing will be on Sunday, November 21 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at:

Melisser, should we arrange an early dinner for you after the event? We have some great vegan options to check out either in Montclair or if you're up for a drive we could go down the Shore for the late afternoon....

This makes me look important! Also, an early dinner is cool. Take me somewhere exciting, but not all mock-meaty / slimy.. I can get that at home.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure Jaymoh will be with me.

There is a great Ethiopian place in Montclair - about a block away, so that would work for staying local. It is really yummy!

Also, you're going to for the Animals on November 13, 2010 with Theresa right?

I'm in Vienna on the 13th so I'm going to have to just think fond thoughts of you guys at ftA, and maybe eat a vegan blutwurst in your honor.

but there are 2 events coming up.

give me until later tonight and i can post new threads, but there is a fundraiser at denville veggie heaven this saturday with dessert potluck afterwards at the sanctuary. and a halloween fundraiser on october 30th at rutherford pancake house in conjunction with sweet avenue bakery and a portion of the proceeds from that will go to FtA.

...i just don't have a ton of time to post stuff at work today.

We were at a signing for Kathy Steven's book Animal Camp, and you have the same publisher! So they had a copy (soft cover) of your book out on the table, sadly not for purchase though. It was very pretty and I enjoyed flipping through it.

I'm saying YES to dinner at Mesob afterwards!

The Kathy Stevens signing was October 14, 2010 :) Your book is very shiny and pretty.

We have at least 8 people for Mesob at this point, so we definitely need to make a reservation closer to the date.

Oh okay, I had no clue! The publishers brought it then? I had drama with them about where the 10 advance copies went.. I didn't get one.

So I've seen your book before you have? That seems so not right Hahaha. Now I wish I'd spent more time reading it! We assumed that the publishers brought it (it was on their table with the other books) but didn't confirm it with anyone.

If you send me the fliers, I can definitley try and load them on FB and get them out to people. Jenn will definitely put them up around her and we can send them to other vegan locals as well.

Oh no, I have a copy now, I only had to spend $35 to have it shipped here and take it away from a friend who also was given an advance copy for some reason. GOOD TIMES!

I wish! Everything was packed really tightly with the 8 events in less than 3 weeks + a tattoo appointment. It would be awesome to see you at the Brooklyn event, Isa will be there!
