Hi friends!
I want to set up an etsy shop selling handmade cat toys, cat blankets, and some animal rights themed jewelry/accessories for humans. At least half, and possibly all of the profits will be going to a cat sanctuary that I am doing some volunteer work for. I'm stuck on the name. I keep thinking Crafts for Cats, but I think I can do better. My guy suggested something involving Luna, which is the name of our cat. I had an idea- Luna's Apawthecary- but then I figured that was too long and that maybe people wouldn't get that it is a play on words (apothecary).
If you have any ideas, let me know! Regarding the name, or anything really that you think would be cool for a shop for cats and the humans that they adopted. ; )

Hehe, thanks guys! I really appreciate your support. I'm excited about this project and the opportunity to do something for the animals. hopshackgirl, I will be making catnip toys. I'm planning to grow my own catnip and dry it, but for the first batch of toys I'll be using store bought 'nip.

I made a practice toy last night. Not the prettiest little mousey but I learned a lot from the process. Luna's been having a great time with it.  Almost as much fun as my traveling shoebox of craft supplies! ; )

I love "Apawthocary" I would use that name plain.
I don't like to buy kitty toys made in China. So I hope your shop catches on. Whatever you decide to name it.

Hey Teresa, I checked and there is actually an etsy shop called "theapawthecary." I thought about changing my name completely because I didn't want her to think I was copying her concept, but her shop sells quite different things than mine will so I think it will be good. And yeah, I know what you mean, Luna has a lot of toys from the petstore but I always wonder about how they are made and the safety of the ingredients. I'm working on my sewing skills and designs, and donating my first "practice" batch of blankets and toys to the shelter we rescued Luna from. Cupcake blanket!  Catnip mouse made with blanket scraps  Blanket in progress. Looks like Luna wants to keep this one. : )

Hey dakini, I and my girlfriend had a beautiful cat named Oliver (short of Oliver) and I personally love this name. Maybe you can somehow integrate it - Oli-Shop or something. It's such a kind name for a cat.. Alex .

dakini, Another cool name you can use is Kristi, I saw this one used in a movie. There a little girl had this cute cat named like that, and it was so cute. She called it Mr Kristi actually :) Alex .
