I figured this needed its own thread instead of being tacked onto the other thread. If you don't know: I released Yellow Rose Greatest Hits at the end of November. More details at my website. Through the end of today, you can order it for 50% off. Yes, it's true! I've offered a 15% holiday discount through the end of today (December 28), and Lulu is offering a one day site-wide discount of 35% with the code BLIZZARDS. So, seriously, if you don't have a copy yet, today would be the best possible day to order it, because it's never going to be cheaper than this. Did anyone get YRGH for Christmas? Have you made anything from it yet?

just bought it! was a bit cagey about it, as i haven't yet made anything from YRR (just acquired my copy about 3 months ago), but you sold me on the discount!
now to sneak it in past my husband, who has imposed another moratorium on buying cookbooks.

I bought it just now, as well! Definitely wanted this book the past few weeks and thought this was the perfect opportunity to get it...especially seeing as I live in Europe so now I actually could get it at a pretty good price! Thanks, Joanna!

Mine came in the mail yesterday! Woohoo! I got the full color one, and it is absolutely adorable. There are so many things I love in this book. My two absolute favorites are the mustard crusted seitan and the tamale pie.

Thank you guys so much! I love getting feedback. I'm still trying to work out my feelings about the self-publishing route. I would have loved for it to have been twice as long, but the price would have been astronomical! It's expensive as is, and my profit margin is slim. Speaking as someone who just wants to get her stuff out there, I'm glad that publishing is trending towards digital. Speaking of that, I'm working on getting a Kindle/iPad version.

Just ordered last night. Wish I would have read this post 1st though, missed out on extra 35% off! Is the recipe for sloppy Joanna's in it? I really want that recipe and missed out on YRR.

I have both YRR and the Potluck 'zine. Are there other recipes in there? Should I get this one too? I love the other two!
Also Joanna - how hard was it to self publish? Do you feel the final result was as good as the one you had done by the publisher?

I got a pizza stone for Christmas, and I used the pizza dough and no-cook pizza sauce recipes last night. Both recipes were absolutely fantastic, and super easy.
Thanks, Joanna!

For those of you who missed the Lulu deal over the holidays, Lulu is offering 25% off your entire order if you enter the code ONEMORETHING305 at checkout. It looks like the deal lasts through Friday. My copy of your Greatest Hits arrived yesterday and I can't wait to make the Chickpea of the Sea salad!

My copy came today! I haven't been feeling great and had no plans to actually stand up and cook anything, but then I saw the title All-Time Very Best Vegan Brownies and was all, OH REALLY? I made at least one, maybe two errors - my chocolate chunks were in a huge mass and it didn't occur to me that would make it harder to melt them with a little bit of water, and I'm not 100% sure I was successful at measuring out 6T from an Earth Balance tub - and I'm still pretty sure they're the best brownies I've had since going vegan 25 years ago. Yay!

Do not make the white bean dip right before you eat your actual dinner. Or do, and just have that dip for dinner. Wow it -is so good-.

HEY HEY!! I switched to Createspace this morning, so now Yellow Rose Greatest Hits is available--still in full color, still full-sized--for $20 instead of $28. HOOOOOOOOORAY!

I just got my copy last night after reading about all the wonderful reviews of the original. I cannot wait to make so many of the things in it. And, I love that almost every recipe is based on things I would have at home already.
Also, Milo is just too cute. I love the addition of his photo. It feels like a got a cookbook from a friend or family member. :)
