Ahhh! Bokeh is basically what you get when you go as far out of focus as possible, set the aperture to wide-open (the biggest possible hole for light on the lens) and put a crafted lens-cover over that only lets light through in a particular pattern. In this case, I made a heart-shaped opening. I also took two shots: one in focus, the other out of focus, and merged them by hand, so the tree is in focus, and the lights are heart-shaped bokeh. Nice, eh? :)
