I walked by a couple of days ago and noticed that Ike's is opening in Oakland. I was headed to bart and didn't have time to scope it out so I have no idea when they're opening. It's so close!

I Googled this place cause I've never heard of it and I was reading the menu and I was all, "Uh, this is like MEAT FIESTA, dubya tee eff, PPK!" but then I got to the vegan sammich page, and then I died inside a little.

I went to Ike's for the first time today. I had the meatless meatball with vegan dirty sauce. It was really good. I work down the block from this joint. I plan to try every one of their vegan sammies before I commit to a favorite. 'Bout time we got a proper sandwich shop in the area.
