Hi All!
I'll be in London for a week from January 16th due to work and I was wondering if anyone wants to meet up in the evening? I've never been to London and I'd be curious to see the city from the vegan eyes :-)

Also, I'll be staying near Liverpool Station. Is there a place close by where I'll be able to get lunch?

Awesome! That's where my partner lives, right near Spitalfields. On the weekends in the square they have a market with lots of vegan-friendly vendors. I got a coconut hacked open for me once, best ever. There's a Wagamama's right in the square. I don't remember the names of all the places we've been but there are options; I'll ask him. ALSO ALSO right near Wagamama's is Montezuma's chocolate. Incred chocolate. They even have a vegan truffle box! My favorite kinds are the dark chocolate with crystallized ginger, and the dark chocolate with chili and sea salt. Crazy good.

Saf, a mostly raw restaurant that's all hip and cool and stuff is not far from Liverpool St. station. It's a bit pricy, but not too bad at lunchtime. It's also close to the Rootmaster double decker vegan bus, which is just cool.

Rootmaster closed down! It's awful, I didn't even manage to make it there before it ceased to exist!

I wouldn't worry, the food got super shitty towards the end!

Anek I'd love to meet up! I'm not 100% sure I'll be around but I'll know by late Dec & let you know.

Edited to add : Definitely go to Montezumas, it's awesome!

That's a shame about Rootmaster. The other vegan bus closed down too. :(

Is Montezuma's a Mexican place?

Hey all! The 16th approaches. Anyone still interested in meeting up any night of that week? I'll leave on the 20th.

I'm afraid I can't make it to London during your trip, it's Nicks birthday on the 18th. He's planned us a whole lotta stuff to do that week & I'm kinda broke after spending all my money on presents!

I have a suggestion though! London Vegan Drinks is on the 19th at Tibits, that'd be a great place to eat dinner that night & do some vegan socialising. There may even be PPKers attending, I know MrFlibble & MessyVeggie often get their drink on there.

Hey, sorry I said I would come but am currently house bound with a broken toe on each foot.

Hope you have a good time though.

Oooh, I've been thinking of hitting up vegan drinks at some stage, and next week works for me.

And, I'm also shy.

I should be at drinks. I'll be the loud one who will probably sit on your laps at some point in the night.

Just FYI they always do loads of good vegan options on drinks night, so you can totally get your dinner there too!

Excellent! At what time does it start? I just looked at our schedule for the week and apparently on thursday we have to work until 9pm. Will anyone still be there?
