hello vancooba! (and non-vancooba lurkers! :D)

I will be in town in a couple of weeks, so I was thinking about either having a meetup at a restaurant, or we can do a potluck. for me, I'm thinking either Wednesday the 25th or Thursday the 26th of January works best for me, but I'm open to suggestion :)

so: vote! a) preference on date, b) preference on potluck vs restaurant

and sidebar: if anyone wants me to bring anything over from Eurovilla, give me a shout!

(and if none of those work for you and you still want to high five some time, I'm open for lunch time trips to Nuba and such)

You know I'm in unless I can't make it before we potentially go to PDX! Where do you want to eat, Josh? It should be your choice! If we do a potluck I might have to crepe out and bring some stuff from Whole Foods since I'm an out-of-towner. Or I could bring Panz take-out maybe. We had that the other day and it was really surprisingly awesome. I'm willing to do whatever! Thursday might be great if we leave for Portland on Friday? Was that the plan? I have a friend I can stay with near Broadway and Cambie. :)

As a rule, Thursdays are generally out for me. Most other nights are doable.

buh, Thursdays aren't supposed to be out! because it looks like Thursday is going to work best :( but it doesn't seem that many people are interested? so hmm. might still be able to swing Wednesday then

I think I'm coming to Vancouver on Wednesday evening...but it might be later and I should probably spend it with my house hosts! I guess we could do Friday, no? I mean we have to leave for PDX early but whatevs, right?

yeah, I honestly don't mind what day it is/where it is/etc. hangouts are good any day of the week :D!

We could do both Wednesday and Thursday, couldn't we? Unless there's some weird etiquette rule or something.

ALSO. About Portland Weekend, I got Friday AND Monday off work.

Aw man! I wish I'd known! I can't leave Friday because of a baby shower. But I can shuffle around my doctors appointment (in Vancouver) on Monday and maybe make another night in PDX work. <3

Do you guys want to go to Grub or Cafe Kathmandu or someplace else awesome on Thursday? I'm butting in because Josh isn't biting. I think Wednesday I'll be in town too late and Friday is the baby thing.

I'd like to try Grub. What time is this baby thing? Any chance we could leave in the late afternoon or anything? If not, I may just go in to work so I'm not losing an extra day of pay. Or not. I'll decide later.

Aw, too bad. I found out yesterday afternoon that I had both days off, but I didn't know about this thread! Oh well, an early start on Saturday then (and maybe a breakfast/lunch stop in Seattle? Hmmm?).
