Does anyone have this book*? Have you tried any recipes? It has been sitting on my shelf totally unused for the past year, even though the recipes sound reasonable enough and the photos are nice.

*Mine is called Venturesome Vegan Cooking, but some have Vegetarian in the title instead, though they have the same recipes.

i had this book for a few years, and finally got rid of it last year. it was called "vegetarian" but everything was vegan. i remember feeling there wasn't anything especially "venturesome" about the recipes, but nothing i made was bad. i got rid of it because it just adequate. nothing was bad, but the stuff i did like i found better versions of elsewhere.

No. It's been out for some time, and maybe when it came out the fact that it was vegan was enough to make it "venturesome." There are so many truly impressive vegan cookbook options now that this one is positively mediocre by comparison.

I've actually re-requested this book from my library. I checked it out ages ago and xeoroxed some things and now that I know it's really a vegan cookbook, I want to re-inspect it ;)

The only recipe I've made is the 'hot and sour' soup and it is sooooo awesome!!
