I'm surprised that there isn't one yet. A surprising number of people don't know that "vegan dreads" are better. There are poor souls still using bee's wax.

bringing this thread back for the BOOBER'S HAIRWATCH2012 my goal is to have crazy mermaid hair that covers my boobs. this is how long it is now, while down and dry (good 2-3" longer when wet) but I can't keep it down most of the time due to a.)big scary tools and fire and b.)augh it gets soooo frizzy when down for more than a couple hours. so it ends up either like this: or this: I NEED UPDO IDEAS PEOPLE, STAT.

My hair looks like this now. It's not that different from what I've had for almost two years, but it's a little shorter and with a lot more texture so it's capable of being messy on purpose. I'm thinking about doing something different with the color (I've had pink since the week before Halloween), but I'm not sure.

I wouldnt be thinking that statement..I would have been saying it Ha! And you would have been saying it in the picture too, if I could have figured out how to make a small, whited-out triangle in Paint. (Circles were much easier.) Like I said, bow to my mad Paint skillz. Really cute, kilgore trout!

Oh no, does that mean AV is going to be even hotter AGAIN? How do you keep doing that?
Pics of me tomorrowish - considering growing out my hair. I did finally find a good stylist, but she's given me 2 great cuts and one bad one.

I do a french braid or 2 french braids to strap my hair to my head when it's really windy out. That keeps it from becoming a tangled mess and blowing all over the place. But it will still look like a mess. It's pretty hopeless.

Boober, I think the last three photos you posted are all great hairstyles! I don't think you look very wind-rattled.

right after i did my hair last week. i can't find any toner in the store. i'm going to have to order the manic panic stuff off line. that's the only vegan brand i know of. a week later, not looking so porous, also diff lighting you can see the need for toner in this pix!

Fupa. Goddamn, girl. You are way hot.
I am considering reverting to platinum like that come the spring, but I don't know yet. I am enjoying my dark hair right now. Also, I want to grow my hair out, but I don't know if I will have the patience. Usually I get my hair about shoulder length and then give up in frustration, but I really like it when it's several inches below shoulder length. Why can't I be like one of those Barbies or My Little Ponies where you pull on the hair and it gets longer?

thank you! does anyone know of a vegan keratin like treatment? i can only find Zerran RealLisse Smoothing, but that's more of a straightening treatment. I'm asking for an aPhogee facsimile which is hard to ask for.
Also both special effects and manic panic make platinum toners. Formally I had been using Wella but someone here said that though the line is vegan, the company is not. Has anyone had any experience with either special effects or manic panic? Amazon reviews are quite mixed to say the least. I'll probably just try both... I dye my hair every 6 weeks so we'll see.

I recently got a haircut that I really liked, the shape is nice, but I wish I'd gone shorter (this is actually still kind of short for me...). Proving that curlies can have asymmetrical bobish things! This is the best picture I have of it. I've been toying with the idea of going shorter and with hennaing my hair. ALSO, I just started no-pooing and I'm very excited about that because it's already making an enormous difference (I was a co-wash person with a weekly gentle natural shampoo so no oilies but I think the conditioner was weighing down my curls...). I don't use any product but I might start using jojoba oil sometimes? I think about my hair way too much. Hence the thread bump, ha. ETA: I'm on the right, ha.
