I'm going to be in Philly on Saturday (meeting at Vedge for dinner at 7, if anyone wants to join!) and thought I'd check out the market. Any especially good vegan things I shouldn't miss?

I've never had much luck at Reading Terminal. There is Basic 4 Vegetarian, but they always seem to be closed and the food is meh.

A new brewpub just opened there and a friend told me she thought they had vegan options, but wasn't sure.

It's worth it to check out the market though. And Maoz is only a couple of blocks away, worst case/

I haven't been to the market in forever! But I do remember having a really good broccoli soup there once, it was before I was vegan though. And I have no idea what stand it was from.

I realize I am no help at all. But I will be at Vedge on Saturday!

It's great for produce, but not so much for vegan food. There's a fantastic coffee joint there (Old City) across from a decent juice place, but otherwise, I can't think of the last thing I ate there.

I'm not really planning on having a meal there, but I heard there was a good spice shop, so I wanted to check that out, and didn't want to miss any great bread or vegan treats, etc.

Yeah it's pretty good for snacks, and while the spice shop is open it's pretty good though not like the one in Italian Market. The Amish corner is worth visiting. If you like preserves or pickles, it's heavenly.
