And I'm always totally impressed with how you rock skinny jeans.

I was JUST about to re-create this thread! I liked browsing the previous one, it make me realize how much I lacked style and could / should make more of an effort.

Here is the effort!

Today (working from home):

I am not actually that thin or tall - I'm wearing heels, and the mirror is curved under its own weight.

I can't wear heels for work for safety reasons (I visit industrial sites) and my suit pants are incredibly ill-fitted. But I don't want to shell big bucks on suits because, well, I wear them at industrial sites.

aelle - Those flats are adorable! And is that a poncho thingy? I've been wanting something like that. It seems like it would be wearing a blanket all day.

Thank you! The shirt is more of an 80's style bat wings T-shirt, made of 2 really wide rectangles. It's comfy but short, I have to wear a tank top under it.

Very cute. I love the blue plaid button up under the gray sweater. You look like a grad student. All you need are Buddy Holly glasses and a messanger bag and you could blend right in at conferences.

Mel C, I love everything about that outfit. I wish I looked like that in jeans, I'm too oddly proportioned to be able to wear them often.

i'm a computer moron. i have picture on my iPhoto and Flickr, can someone explain how i can get them on here? i did before but can't seem to figure it out again.

You'll need to use the photos already uploaded to flickr. Get to the "view all sizes" page of a photo on Flickr. Choose whichever size image you want to use then right click it. Select Copy Image location. Then, click post reply on this messageboard. Once in the text editor, click the button at the top that says Img. Paste the image location url that you copied earlier between the [img]and[/img] that have appeared. Then hit submit.

I discovered this thread hours before the old boards went down. I am psyched to follow it. I have very little style and always get flak for it from my boyfriend, but he is never helpful in advising me HOW to be stylish. So now I turn to my trusty PPKers to do so.
