What do you all know about Spa Ritual? My Mum tucked all sorts of samples in my Xmas presents that her hairdresser gave her, and they all say vegan on. But when I looked in House of Fraser just in passing nothing said vegan on the boxes. any experts?

All spa ritual polishes are vegan and they're good quality. They're Orly's sister brand. I have a few and they go on lovely. I don't rate their base coat though.

Edit: I meant all spa rituals PRODUCTS are vegan. Not just their polishes.

Can anyone recommend an intensive hair moisturiser? Not like a conditioner but a pack or a mask that you leave on occasionally. I've been hammering the straighteners recently and I want to give it some love. Shop bought, or a hippy home made concoction if it's easy to make.

Not exactly a moisturiser but this leave in damaged hair treatment spray by Giovanni looks good. I've been using their leave in conditioner recently & I think it's much better (& cheaper!) than Avedas.

If you want something home made - olive oil! I used to warm a couple of tbsp up and then leave it on for a couple of hours (if you have time) before washing it out. Another thing you can do if you have a day when you don't have to see anyone is put your regular conditioner on (dry hair), lots of it and just wrap your hair up and leave it on. Overnight is good if you can bear it and then just rinse it out. You'll look gross but it'll be nice for your hair.

Can anyone suggest a Touche Eclat-type under eye brightener? I permanently suffer from dark circles under my eyes but need something quite light so it doesn't sit in my wrinkles!

I sometimes use Urban Decay's 24/7 concealer on my dark circles, which gives great coverage, but it tends to dry the skin out, so it needs moisturiser on first. You might find it a bit heavy for crepey skin. It's in the form of a soft pencil. They also do a product called Surreal Skin Creamy Concealer, which I haven't tried, but it sounds more like Touche Eclat.

I also like Lily Lolo's mineral concealer, which is lighter, so probably won't emphasise the wrinkles. You can build it up in layers to get as much coverage as you need.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but Superdrug's Tea Tree & Peppermint shampoo is incredible! It's super-cheap (less than a pound) and it's gentle enough for my sensitive scalp, but still leaves me with squeaky clean hair. I love it so much.

Oh, and Barry M's new bold waterproof eyeliner is a new favourite for me. It stays on forever, and it's as black as eyeliner can possibly get. The only issue I have with it is that it's quite soft, which means I'll probably get through the pencil very quickly.

Can anyone recommend a good facial moisturizer that's vegan? I have used one from Superdrug off and on for about a year (still have the same tube), but post-pregnancy, in the winter, my face is getting really dry.

Origins' Brighter by Nature is spendy, but really really good. Simple also has good moisturisers (I've used the night time anti-wrinkle one), and just about all of their products are vegan.

I use the Simple light moisturiser every day, and their night-time one a couple of times a week, and they're really good.

Thanks. I'll take a look at the Simple ones. Trying to do paraben free too, but I think a lot of their stuff is free from nasties.

I used to use simple and although I thought it was good I decided this year that I wanted to "green" my beauty products as much as poss. Now I'm using coconut oil and found it works great. I also use this olive oil soap http://www.ethicalsuperstore.com/review ... ap---125g/ on my face and it's great for my sensitive skin and incredibly cheap too!

Does anyone know of a vegan baby oil brand that is vegan? My skin has gotten so dry and I have been told that baby oil is the best but obviously I don't want to use johnson's stuff. Oh and I need something I can buy in superdrug or boots or somewhere like that!

I wouldn't necessarily agree that baby oil is very good for really dry skin but it might be worth a try. I'm sure superdrug or sainsbury's will have their own brand baby oil. It's just mineral oil and perfume so there shouldn't be anything non-vegan in it.

Yeah, I thought superdrug would have an ownbrand version but it wasn't on the website. I will have a look in store.

It depends on your skin.

I really like boots' extracts body butters. They're really thick but they don't leave you all greasy. They are vegan too (except any that have obvious stuff in like milk & honey in the title). They'll be more expensive than baby oil though! :)

I've got a Superdrug own brand one with vitamin E in which works pretty well on my flaky legs.

E.L.F. has some sort of Touch Eclat-y looking type thing in their Studio line, I think. Although I will just mention that I used Touche Eclat years ago and found it was just an overpriced, glorified highlighter that had no concealing (and very little brightening) capabilities so I'm not sure if looking for a vegan dupe will be the answer to your dark circle woes. I'm still looking for a HG under eye concealer myself.

Thanks Baldtwitlion. My problem is concealer is too heavy and just sits on the skin. I've had eczema under my eyes in the past and the skin is extra delicate (plus the wrinkles!). I've got loads of different products but nothing seems to work.

I am still on the search for the perfect concealer too. I just bought Laura Mercier's secret concealer and it is very good, it doesn't settle in my crows feet as much as the others I've tried and it's very creamy and easy to blend. However, it's pretty pricey AND I don't know if it's vegan as I don't have the box anymore (they don't test though).

I did try a couple of clinique ones, one was for line concealing and one was all about eyes! Both settled in creases and the all about eyes one made my eyes look puffier instead of de-puffing! So I'm avoiding those.

I've tried most of MAC's as well and am not a lover of those either. Bobbi Brown is supposed to make good concealer for under eyes, might be worth going to a counter?

I'm using a combination of GOSH foundation and Lili Lolo mineral concealer which seems to do okay for my dry skin and dark circles (and I have positively ostrich feet in comparison to Baps's crows feet!)
