So last night I went and bought Kirby's Epic Yarn, and I'm in lurve. This just might be the cutest game ever. Entire worlds made out of yarn and fabric and zippers?! Plus an evil sorcerer. Swoon. Even my husband has gotten sucked in. I also bought Boom Blox, which looks like epic Jenga. So what other games are awesome for the Wii?? What are y'all playing?

I spent months playing Mario Galaxy and my brother came in and beat the game after a week. mustard. I'm just not used to games with such great graphics. I have to go back to Mario 2 so I feel like I can play games. :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets stressed out. Mario Galaxy I can almost handle. Super Smash Brothers gives me borderline panic attacks.
I haven't played wii in forever because I don't have any games I want to play! I'm debating the new sims coming out for wii though.

Target had Mario Galaxy set up to test out, and it kinda drove me crazy. Now, it might be because it was in the middle of the game and I hadn't done previous levels to acquire the skills/understand what the hell was going on, but it seemed really difficult to move Mario. He wouldn't go where I wanted him to go; same when Mario was riding Yoshi. The graphics were very pretty, but I couldn't tell at all what I was supposed to be doing. And one part had a time limit and I thought I was going to freak out.

House Of The Dead Overkill! Okay, not cute at all, but pretty funny.
Okami is magical, Twilight Princess, and Tenchu was pretty fun, although I got stuck and haven't finished it yet.

Def Jam Rapstar. Don't have a Wii, but I played this game recently and now I wish I had one. It's like guitar hero, but you have to rap and the lyrics. They have a good combo of old and new. I killed "push it" by Salt n Pepper. Sooooo fun!

YES. Finally, a Wii thread. Lego Star Wars is amaziiiing, so is Animal Crossing City Folk, Elebits is really fun, Resident Evil 4 is pretty creepy/fun... My favorite game Super Mario Bros Wii. Be prepared for complete frustration if you play with other people, though!

I'm also playing Kirby! Love it! I'm really looking forward to Donkey Kong Country which comes out next month (I pre-ordered it because I'm a nerd and because I really wanted the banana sleeve for the wiimote -- Gamestop's bonus item). Other than that the games we play the most around here are Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Silent Hill. The wife really likes Harvest Moon and that Little King game, whatever it's called.

We made a rule that we can only buy games that involve physical stuff (sports, party, resort, etc) that we *play together* because the kid gets so frustrated with every game- one time we caught her bashing the laptop when she got frustrated with a game. O-o

you had me at banana sleeve. i'm looking forward to Donkey Kong Country as well, and I'm totally taking advantage of that pre-order.

The Wii is what my husband requested as his graduation present last spring, our first game was Super Mario Bros. This is the game we still play 80% of the time. Sometimes our team work isn't so great - one of us will accidentally sacrifice the other to get out of the way of something - I can't imagine actually playing with 4 people at once, I think I would be beyond frustrated. I also really want to try Lego Star Wars but my husband doesn't seem too excited about it.

I love Mario Kart! And Grand Slam Tennis! I have played Super Mario Bros. but I'm really terrible and spend the whole game dying and frustrating my boyfriend.
Do any of you guys play online? We should be Wii friends.

I think so. And I think I was only missing one or two star coins from world 9 that I kept trying to get but couldn't. So eventually I got annoyed with those boards and quit.

If you like scary games, my boyfriend "and I" (I like to watch video games, not play them) played Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and it was really interesting!

If you have the board, you should try Super Mario Bros. Winter Olympics. The snowboarding is soo much fun!

We just got Star Wars the force unleashed. It's really good! I'm usually terrible at action games, but the controls are pretty smooth and it's fun using the force to throw your enemies across the room!

Feel free to make fun, but I totally want to buy a wii just to play the Michael Jackson game that comes out next week. I've been wanting one for a while but this just pushes it over the edge.

They're apparently coming out with a sequel, too. More excellent games: Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and MarioKart.
