I'm due August 19th!

Yay! Lots of August babies!

Congrats!

My sister is due August 30th, so I'm a little biased with my super excitement for August babies.

Actually, August 19th is my youngest son's birthday. Since I'm having twins, I'm guessing I won't make it quite that long. But you never know!

August was SO not my plan. Haha. I'm always hot and I know I'm going to be soooooooo miserable. But I'll survive. At least it's not humid in Oregon...

Oh! I forgot you were having twins. I added that so we can get properly excited. I wonder what your son would think of the babies coming on his birthday?

Bonus of summer babies: You don't have to bundle them much/at all, and you can just live topless for a while since if you're breastfeeding, you'll need those boobs out like all the time. I am so glad my second one is due in summer! (But it doesn't get ridiculously hot here anyway. 40 is insane for us, but it's usually mildly warm.)

Hehehehe... my daughter was born in December and I was still running around topless or in a cami even though we were having a ridiculous cold snap at the time (I think I switched to the cami after my milk came in because I was leaking waterfalls). I am really looking forward to not having to freak out that the baby is freezing to death though!

I'm always cold, but my first thought about being super-pregnant in the summertime was, "Maxi dresses! Yay!"

I had Silas in October (in Florida! so, still summer), and dresses were the best thing ever. The level of comfort was pure magic.

My initial due date based on my last period was September 13, but then I got one of September 20 based on an ultrasound. That doesn't totally make sense to me based on when I know I ovulated (used a digital test) but oh well. Let's say mid September!

Yeah, I hate how they INSIST on using the 28-day cycle as if we Cannot Possibly Know when we ovulate. This time around I don't know precisely (pretty good idea), but my midwife is awesome and won't be pressuring me to induce, so I'm not too concerned that her due date for me is the 6th and mine is the 10th. :-p

I am so excited for twins! Speaking of which, I wish thevegantwins still posted around here.

I demanded more pregnant ladies and they just appeared! I guess mods have special powers afterall.

This is early to announce, but I'm getting antsy about not being able to tell anyone. There will be a babycakes arriving around October 10. Hopefully that will hold me over for 3 months until I get to tell my mom.

nov 10, but i might change it... it's just based on an online pregnancy calculator, not anything official.

oh, and i want it on record that i'm like 99% sure it's a girl. girls are more likely if you had sex significantly before ovulation, which i'm pretty sure we did, so based on that i'm going with girl.

So I kind of shame faced after my last 'it's not fair' post as it actually turned out I was pregnant. Am due September 21st. Am waiting for an amnio in a couple of weeks though as my risk for Down's syndrome came back high, so we're not quite out of the woods yet, but fingers crossed.

My due date has been changed for the second time, and is now September 18. That's my grandmother's birthday, so she's pleased.
