Even as I am lucky enough to live right around the corner from Celestial Seasonings, during the holidays I find myself stuck drinking their seasonal "Gingerbread Spice" all the time. It's a weakness.

This is exactly how I feel! About all flavoured beverages that i buy!



How much sugar? Why does it not say add sugar on the boxes? I need more insider information!

Thanks to this thread, my friend and I just went in on an Adagio order. Together we spent $50 and we each could sit here and do another couple of $50 orders on our own.

My favourite is original Yogi Tea, but I also have green tea with orange or blackcurrant, regular black English tea and Pete has a yucky box of Earl Grey.

Why does green tea make my mouth dry? I don't ever drink it because of that. And when I add milk and sugar to green tea it just taste weird. What up with that?

If you don't have any green tea available, you can just pour some hot (but not boiling!) water into a dirty ashtray for a similar effect.

I find that black tea makes my mouth dry too, if I don't take it with (plant) milk. It also tends to upset my stomach. There's probably some science behind this, but I'm too lazy to look into it.

What do all of you use to make hot water? When I'm on campus, I get my tea from the cafeteria because they have the earl and a hot water spout. At home, I put it in the microwave. But I am lazy and I'm interested in electric kettles.

Please do not put an electric kettle on your desk. I see this ending badly.

I drink a ratio of 3:2 green and peppermint, without the peppermint i'd have to add 18 cups of sugar.

Don't listen to her, she can't make a liter of iced tea without sloshing half of it onto the floor trying to move the jug across the room.

I'm not the one who leaves the heater on in the basement AND has a cat who sleeps on the desk where I assume said kettle will go!

keeping Mumbles' requirements in mind i have been monitoring the "draw down" of my tea collection (we are moving and i need to slim down). I got rid of all the herb teas and the weird tisanes that my family give me (probably to poison me) and have just the bare necessities and it is: 6 different types of "plain" black tea, 2 types of green tea, and jasmine. And two types of yerba matte. AND I CAN'T BEAR TO GET RID OF ANY MORE! I foresee crisis this week when the last English Breakfast goes down the hatch.

I got some Stash goiji berry green tea with matcha last week and it is quite good - a little tart, a little sweet. I first had it plain but last night on my way to a soccer game made it in my travel mug, added some soy milk and it was delicious. I am not huge fan of fruity teas so this is a change.

This this and only this. I like my food to taste like campfires and replace meals.

My favourite tea is Dilmah Extra Strong, but I can't get that here. Right now my brew is PG Tips (two teabags) and soy milk. No sugar, and it has to be good and hot. Lukewarm tea is gross.

I'm intrigued by the Lapsang Souchong and have been sniffing the boxes in the supermarket. How do you drink it? Milk/no milk?

I love herbal teas! I'm very careful to only buy the loose leaf ones without any artificial flavouring so the collection is not that large, but I have:
- plain organic green tea in bags (for morning tea, no time to measure out stuff). I drink it with lemon juice
- chamomile
- chai tea penshawar
- chai tea something else
- chai tea with cocoa beans
- african malva and hibiscus
- "fastentee", which is something delicious with berries
- mixed berries and flowers tisane
- green tea with ginger and lemongrass (old, I need to throw it out)
- plain black tea
- something called "Tigertooth", which is nice and tastes a bit like chai
- white tea (old, to be thrown out)
- a good night tisane, with orange flowers, lavander, and other stuff I don't know how to translate
- a diuretic tisane, with fucus and asparagus and other stuff

That's about it! Now I really want to go home and have a cuppa. I never add sugar or sweetener, but often a few lemon juice drops.
BTW, as far as I know green tea should not be drunk with milk, milk is only for black tea. At least according to my British colleagues.

I use my coffee maker to make hot water for my tea.

I have a lot of tea. Right now I alternate between Republic of Teas Happy (peach flavored) and blueberry green tea!

I have re-discovered my love for mint tea.

I've heard/read that too but the Stash mixture I had was very good with milk and my sons like plain green tea with milk. I am not drinking it for its potential healthful properties though.

If it is a matter of snobbery, "they" say a lot of things I thumb my nose at.

Black tea also makes me sick.

I drink (iced) tea as my main beverage, but i'm extremely unadventurous about it. Every time I decide to try a fancy tea, it always tastes like poop. I bought a box of vanilla something for work and it tastes like perfume smells.

I've managed to whittle down the amount of sugar I need a lot over the years, then a few months ago I got bottled tea and almost vomited from the sugar. I used about 1/4th a cup of agave per pitcher (too lazy to stir the sugar until it dissolves).

I've been trying to recreate the tea I had in Ireland, which I'm sure everyone there considers terribly generic, but I just loved it. The brand most commonly used is Lyon's, but whatever I do I cannot get it the same =[ It's probably nostalgia coloring my results, but dammit anyway.

It is an acquired taste, I think! If you like things that taste like smoke you will probably like it. I usually drink it straight, but you made me want to try it with milk so I just made some with soy creamer, and it is less strong but still delicious.

Ooooh, also: roasted barley tea. I bought a huge bag of it a long time ago and I'm still powering through it. I also have some corn tea, which I don't drink enough.
