The ones I've posted here are not about vegan food.

I posted vegan in the times I was posting, and posted explaining why I wasn't posting mofo anymore, but for some reason my post has disappeared off the boards. Which has kinda made me sadder, but yeah. I didn't know you had to ONLY post mofo, and I'm sorry.

You don't have to only post MOFO. At least that's my understanding. Lots of blogs are lifestyle blogs or advocacy blogs, and it's unreasonable to expect people to stop blogging about these things for a month. And lots of people end up not posting as much vegan food as they want during MOFO. MOFO was created in part to be a challenge. So long as people aren't posting about non-vegan food, I don't see any reason to take people off the blogroll. We're not the MOFO-police.

well then I don't see the problem really. I had a lil freak out reading my name on this list and went through all my posts and can't find non vegan food anywhere. I mean, why would I blog about it when I don't eat it? Yeah.

These aren't the forking Salem vegan trials, we're just trying to make sure that people aren't blogging non-vegan food. Of course you can talk about whatever the hell else you want on your blog, as long as it's not bacon or whatever.

That said, if you're not doing MoFo and we notice, we will probably remove you. No biggie. It seems perfectly logical that if you aren't doing MoFo then you aren't part of the MoFo feed. Is that really difficult to understand?

This is interesting. I wonder if some people think they're being meat activists. Anyway, in the future, maybe there should be a more formal "terms and conditions" portion to the sign-up, with an actual "I accept these terms" opt-in. That way the rules and the criteria for dismissal will be clear to all. This does sound like a crappy thing to do, but if participation continues to skyrocket over the coming years, culling the violators will be absolutely necessary.

Yeah we're trying to work something out. But we can't keep track of everything obviously, so a thread like this was necessary. Unfortunately it's a little outta hand in here.

If I may say for Vegansaurus, we write about a wide variety of vegan issues. We had intended to MoFo, and then most of our writers have been really busy with other things, so we've just been doing our normal posting, following up on tips, news stories and events, etc. The blog isn't for everyone. If you're not into it, then just don't read. Thanks!

I personally don't mind seeing animal issues discussed, I see it as an opportunity to educate people who may be into veganism for health reasons.
I don't get why some vegans post pictures of what their spouses eat that is not vegan. We don't want to see it!

I've only been removing blogs that clearly are posting nonvegan food porn. Let's not turn this into a search for if people are posting about vegan stuff enough or hunt them down if they mention something nonvegan. In fact, just PM me from now on if you really have a concern about one of them.

I don't get why some vegans post pictures of what their spouses eat that is not vegan. We don't want to see it! Yeah, that's the kind of thing that really annoys me. Here's my awesome vegan sandwich! And some salmon my husband ate! Also, I have been trying to post about food each time, but sometimes I like to talk about things peripherally related to food, like planning meals, eating cheap while vegan, and I plan to do a "why I'm vegan" post. I think if it will help animals and help people understand veganism, then go for it. That's what this is about, right?

If a blog is blogging about non vegan food tell us. If they are blogging about things you don't like then delete them from your reader. Simples.

Why love one animal and eat another? My friend stopped eating pork when she realized her meat was coming from a pig. Quite interesting that she had never made the connection of pork with pig if you ask me...
