All caps, because it's true!! So, apparently, as previously mentioned in another thread - we are getting an all vegan fast food joint in Rittenhouse on 18th Street! Additionally, in March we will be getting an all vegan hoagie and noodle bowl cart serving primarily West Philly and South Philly - http://www.citypaper.net/blogs/mealtick ... -2012.htmlThe latest news is, we will also be getting an all vegan juice bar on 12th and Spruce (new vegan hotspot area? Right next to Vedge.) Who needs to go to Portland when you live in Philly? We've already got: Blackbird Pizzeria Grindcore House Vedge New Harmony Kingdom of Vegetarians Govinda's (100% vegetarian, mostly vegan) Mi-Lah Vegetarian Singapore Vegan Tree (ex Loving Hut) Mama's Vegetarian (100% vegetarian, mostly vegan) Maoz Vegetarian (100% vegetarian, mostly vegan) Su Xing (100% vegetarian, mostly vegan) Basic 4 Vegetarian (100% vegetarian, somewhat vegan) I feel like I may have missed a couple places? Please add on, if I did!

I live right outside of the Philly area and there's not much here vegan-wise. Restaurants or people :/ I'd like to check out what all Philly has to offer in the vegan way though, hear there's a vegan icecream place now? Awesome.

Seriously! This city has become so much more vegan-friendly over the past couple years, even after losing the amazing all-vegan food truck Viva Las Vegans. I wish they'd come back and open a mini-Lula's here. With waffles! Just imagine...
Only thing missing:
I've heard rumors of a Miss Rachel's all-vegan brunch spot...

I wish I could get a Viva Las Vegans chkn sandwich, add jalepenos just ONE last time! Also a soft serve sundae. Imagine if they came back with the Viva Las Vegans lunch truck and added a soft serve machine in there. Holy shiitake, I'd be one happy lady.

I was thinking of New Harmony, which was mentioned. Maybe it wasn't that near, but I did go there after selling at the flea market

I felt sad that the restaurant you liked might have been gone. Thoreau was barely two blocks from Starlight Ballroom, so I figured that was it. I would cry many tears of sadness if New Harmony ever went away.
