Okay, so this is a bit of shameless self-promotion...
But, if any of you live/work/go to school in the Longwood/Mission Hill area, there is going to be a bake sale at the MassArt Cafeteria (on the corner of Longwood and Huntington) from 8am to 2pm on Valentine's day.
It isn't anything super-fancy; just a fundraiser for my department to go to a conference in Philadelphia next month. From the looks of the sign-up sheet, about half of the goodies there are going to be vegan.
If you're in the area, stop by! I won't be staffing the table, but will have some sweets there (biscotti, rosewater-vanilla cupcakes, truffles, doughnuts, and potentially more, depending on how much tupperware I can scrape up for storing/transporting sweets.)
We'll also have a few little gifts for sale as well.

Eeep. Sorry, I got the time wrong! It's actually from 10am to 4pm. I can't figure out how to edit the initial post though...

Gah! How did I miss this?!? So sad! :(
I eat at the MassArt cafeteria a lot since I work 1/2 a block away and totally would have bought a bunch of vegan goodies had I seen this.

Are you in the area?? We should have lunch sometime!
They've never turned me away. A lot of people from my office eat there.
The vegan food is always available and often good. The section with specials almost always (or maybe always) has a vegan choice and I'd say 75% of the time it sounds good to me and is usually a large serving. There are vegan burgers and there used to be vegan nuggets but now there is a vegan "chicken" patty (that they fry and is awesome on a bun with bbq sauce). And soups and sandwiches. Maybe other stuff, but that's all I've noticed. Reasonable prices too!

nah, not really- I used to live in Mission Hill but I moved last year, and i work in Back Bay so I'm not super close. But I was thinking of going to check out the galleries there sometime so the cafeteria might be a good option then. The food sounds really good! I'm weird in that I love cafeteria-style food for some reason.

Yes, anyone off the street can eat at the MassArt cafeteria. They have decent options around normal meal times, but I tend to have breaks at off times and am usually stuck eating bagels or salad... granted, the prices aren't too bad, as pi mentioned. Their vegan chicken patty is available at any time, so when I have a long enough break and can scrape up enough money, I'll usually get one and fries. I never had it on a bun, I've only ordered it either as a wrap... it's pretty tasty as a wrap though.
I'm at MassArt a lot, and live in Mission Hill. So if anyone does want to meet up for lunch sometime, I'd be up for it. :)
