I forking LOVE this bakery, and feel it is often underrated (or sneaks under the radar) by every vegan site out there. How often do you see a vegan, family owned gem in a community where lots of the surrounding businesses are all modern or new with less of a foothold? Not to mention they are sweet and very welcoming and clearly show love in what they do, for their products, and for the people who come in to enjoy them. I mean, healthy chocolate chip cookies that taste pretty damn amazing? Come on! I want to try more here, but I think everyone should try to come here more often, and ever since they rearranged the counter space, the menu showcase is smaller and with fewer goodies, so if they expand...who knows what we'll be finding here. The potential is awesome and I really feel like they touch upon a niche that seems only modern and trendy now, but they prove the longevity of a vegan business is more than a fleeting moment.

My favorite is their avocado sandwich, packed with avocado, arugula, and a tofu spread. Best thing to take on a plane or train journey. Next favorite is the burrito, also easily transportable. They make a kind of quiche thing that's good if I just need a little snack. I tend not to like their sweet stuff as much, though I haven't tried them lately.
They are a total asset to the neighborhood, and it drives me crazy that these landlord threats seem to come up regularly.

Whoa, way to go, landlord! I have never tried their savories, JillW! I'm gonna stop in and see if anything is gluten-free other than soup or a smoothie.
