I know this is a million years old news but ModCloth is difficult with sizes. They make no sense! I guess I should pay more attention to my measurements but even when I did, everything I've ordered I've had to return, which costs if you are outside the US. I think their customer service is great and they want to help you, but it's just so frustrating to have received multiple items that are way too big, and once way too small.

The thing with modcloth is that they get all their dresses from different designers who all seem to do sizes different. One thing you can do is find out who makes the dress (if it's not listed you can just ask) and then try and find the site where it comes from. Sometimes it takes some sleuthing.

Probably no help for modcloth, but What Size am I? is a pretty neat tool for working out what size you should look for in different stores. It is very UK-centric, though.

Fisti (huhuh), that totally suits you!
I went to the shop to check out the dress, but they told me they didn't have it and I should buy it online. But I already have too many clothes. I shouldn't. :(

I don't order any dress that doesn't have at least 3 reviews from Modcloth, or unless it's a brand I already know, for this reason. I've only ever had to return a dress once. (I have kept 4. And am hopeful about a 5th on the way!)

I spent some of my bonus money on this dress last week, and it should arrive today. I had a dream last night that I already got it, but I woke up before I could see how I looked in it.

The dress code is "casual," but it's at a fancy hotel, so I feel like this dress will walk that line. I hope it's not too low-cut for a wedding (it's arriving today, so I don't know yet).

Got it! I was really nervous about the sizing but it fits. And it has pockets.

Just got this dress. Fits pretty snug, but whatev. The lining seems of nice quality, so I could potentially see myself going braless in this (hopefully) since it is pretty open in the back.. I just want spring to come so that I can wear it! Even though I don't need it; I'm still lusting after this dress: Passing my A exam and getting my masters (en route to PhD) counts as a good excuse, right?
