I made this German Apple Cake from "The Joy of Vegan Baking" for a friend's Oktoberfest party over the weekend. It was pretty tasty, but the texture was a bit off because I had to make some substitutions (didn't have any applesauce.)

This looks so good. My family are German but don't know how to make all their delicious cakes vegan- I think I'll need to get this book and show them how it's done.
