Thanks guys! I am totally going to do it. I am just in a weird bind right now with a super crazy writing project that must take precedence, but as soon as I'm finished with that, I'll make the zine! :) And thanks to the few of you who sent recipes. They won't be wasted, I promise!
And I'll totally hit you guys up for help when I need it. It will be rad!

Apparently the steak sauce Japanese Village serves with rice is a pretty famous West Coast original.
Pâté chinois with oven roasted fresh corn and St-Ambroise noire à l’avoine-mushroom gravy?
Maple crème brûlée?
Apparently Chinese-American style ginger-fried beef was invented in Alberta. Ginger fried something not-beef?
Oyster mushroom imitation scallops wrapped in imitation bacon?
I feel like the regional cuisine of the west coast BC is pretty much seafood Asian fusion now, but it kind of look like you want to stick to more old-school Canadiana.
Looks like fun, anyway. I'll go take a look at the Vancouver thread and see if it looks like there's anything I can do to help.

vijita, I need to buy one of these when it materialises!!
It sounds really amazing and the list of dishes is truly impressive!
Did you ever get a recipe for Montreal-style bagels? I hear how amazing they are on a regular basis but I know that they typically have egg in.
