Hi PPKers, It's been a while since I've been on here :( Anyway... hoping some of you have been to Singapore restaurant on Race St and can recommend some good dishes since I'm going for the first time tomorrow night!

I've eaten there a couple times! I really liked the pu-pu platter (I think that's what it was? it was the lots of different appetizers all together plate). I would definitely not recommend anything that claims to replicate seafood.

I like the Dim Sum options at Singapore best. Steamed vegetable buns, Sesame chicken, Drumsticks. I like their New Years and Yin Yang soup too. Peter Fong (the owner) is super nice. Have fun!

I have not always had luck ordering at Singapore, but I have friends who swear by this place. I've been told to order from the Chef's Specials Menu for next time. I do love their New Years soup. I've have their dim sum a few times and that can be really fun..definitely different. It often involves latkes and something very much like a samosa, along with the usual buns, dumplings, drumsticks, etc.

I think in my 8 years of living in Philly, i've eaten at Singapore twice with disapointing results. New Harmony all the way.

Thanks for the recommendations. My running team had a good dinner there, but I think I am partial to New Harmony as well ;)
