Is anyone watching it or you're over it? I've been watching and I have some hope for this season. Of course, I'm always wrong.

I always watch with hope! i don't know who anyone is at this stage, but there are a few voices I really like. I can only identify them in me-speak though (e.g. Sings-like-Maxwell Dude, Winery Girl, Dave Matthews 2.0, etc...)

I watch but usually I don't like any contestants. Last year I was one of those Haley converts, although I didn't pay much attention at first. So far this season I kind of have a crush on Hallie Day (light blonde hair/red lipstick at auditions), and it's hard not to think that Heejun is adorable! And funny.
Ryan Seacrest to Heejun: "What are you sweating?" HJ: "Mostly water." And don't even get me started on that cowboy fella.

I hadn't noticed her all season (don't think they showed her much) but I really liked the last blonde chosen. And falsetto guy. I thought Heejun was mean! But we'll see. There were some others I liked but I can't remember them now.

I sneak in a few episodes when I can and the hubbie isn't around to yell at me for watching such horrid TV! I can't help it, even though I haven't watched a season through till the end for like 5 years now. I always have to tune into the beginning to see if there is anyone amazing.
So far I can't remember anyone standing out except the girl from Portland with the big glasses and hat. Did she make it through? I missed last week.

(sigh) Yes, I'm watching. They keep pulling me back in! I have to say, I like this line-up of judges a lot. Even if it's put-on for the cameras, they seem to care about these kids. It's a nice change of pace from Simon (though I do miss his snark sometimes).
My faves in the top 24 are Hollie Cavanaugh (cute little blonde girl who almost made it last year), Jen Hirsh (tall, curvy brunette - her voice brings me to tears!), Jessica Sanchez (16-year-old with a killer set of pipes), Deandre Brackensick (he's purdy and he sings quite well), and Reed Grimm because he seems like a total weirdo.
I think Heejun is awesome! That cowboy dude would have driven me insane, so I understand why Heejun got a bit snippy. And he works with developmentally disabled kids, how mean could he be?
That said, I think Colton Dixon will win based on... looks! He seems all tender and sensitive, too - the tween set is helpless against him!
Who do you think the 13th guy will be???

I always watch, it is a big guilty pleasure for me. I also like Heejun, I hope he sticks around for a long time because he makes me laugh. I have a crush on Phil Phillips.

Oh no, white chocolate. I wish they were just a little bit critical of the contestants.

Um, I'll admit that I secretly love Paramore and Twilight and that song was written for Twilight. And Colton just killed it! And not in a good way.

They're only saying nice things about being blessed from god. I really like the judges before the live performances. Also, I remember Geremy really well from the auditions and they all say that we won't remember him. Why? I even remember his initial audition.

It's like they aren't allowed to be critical yet! Very scripted, I agree.
Dang it, I missed nipple? Thats what I get for flipping to Fashion Police!

Were they all forced to pick such shmaltzy songs? No one wants to bring the house down? Also, I like Heejun much better now. I don't know, he seemed twofaced in the auditions but I guess that's ok.

And why are they being honest with Heejun but no one else? He didn't sound any worse than anyone else.

YES! So happy that Germaine is back. But what is Randy on that they haven't had a baritone ever? Last year's winner was a baritone!

I was a little underwhelmed by the show. Hopefully the girls will do better.

I loved seeing Heejun's mom do her little dance. There are no singers that really blow me away (though I do love HJ's personality), but there are a few singers I don't want to make it far: Eben, who has no soul when singing and doesn't sing tremendously well, and Colton, who also isn't an amazing singer and has a style I dislike (and has anyone else noticed that his hairline is perfectly parallel to his eyebrows? Proof!). I'm not sure about Deandre but he sure does have the prettiest hair/face. As for the ladies, I'm looking forward to Hallie Day and Jen Hirsch for sure. I know there are a handful of country singers in the female category that I'm not too crazy about.

Okay okay, so maybe I don't have as big of a crush on Hallie Day anymore. I think it was just the edgy (?) look and daring vocals she had in the audition that I was gaga for.
Tonight I enjoyed Elise the most, but I think Hollie (Mulan), Jessica, and Jennifer have potential.

Catching up now. What a shitfest! Hollie Cavanagh is my girl, I guess. At least the judges admitted they were easy on the guys.
