i want to get a big asparagus pineapple that is from an old engraving like so, where the proportions are kinda forked. i also want to get old fashioned flash girls on each outer thigh up high almost near the bum bum. in this style, for those unfamilar. maybe one will be a derby girl and one a cyclist? not sure... one a wife one a widower?

YEEESSSSSS THIS IS MY FAVORITE THREAD Stylized blackberry! Stylized oak! I had these done last Friday and this Tuesday, respectively, by Brian Hutflies at Sacred Tattoo in Oakland. The original line drawings were by my pal Jeeyon Shim; Brian planned the color. Right now they are in the peel-y stage. I love the peel-y stage.

here's the one I got last year. I really need a better photo, one where I'm not slouchy? I need to take a pic of the goldfish on the left calf. :)

Great tattoos everyone has! Here's a partial view of one of mine. People are always saying "hello" to me and I always forget why. I'm just walking around thinking people are being friendly, and then I notice them pointing to my arm.

Kate, nice work! I'm unfamiliar with Brian but I had my feet and my doggies done at Temple (feet were by Jesse Tuesday who no longer works there, dogs by Jason McAffee). Una, that's gorgeous! Are those bauhinia flowers? All I know is that the bauhinia the the official flower of Hong Kong and the ones in Hawaii are the best-smelling thing on the entire planet. zebedee wrote: Erika Soyf*cker wrote: Adah wrote: I'm such a fan of the Millie and Molly tattoos. I've been wondering whether my kp will be a problem when I want to get my upper arms done. Aside from avoiding soy, how else do you keep it under control? Advice I took from the old PPK boards was to scrub/slough with soap and a loofah or pumice in the shower, then immediately moisturize with coconut oil. That helps a lot! I also found that it does better in certain climates. When I was on vacation in the Nevada/Utah desert it disappeared almost completely, but sunning even in moister climates helps manage it too. For me it's mostly allergy/food-related. It was really bad when I was younger and cleared up immediately when I got off the dairy. In recent years it had come back and I made the connection to soy a few months ago. I also had an aesthetician tell me that she kept hers under control by waxing her upper arms. Hope some of that helps you! KP sucks an asparagus!

I've currently got two, one on each arm. On the left have got a custom piece inspired by Dante's Divine Comedy, the gates of hell with Dante and Virgil about to enter and on the right a custom piece inspired by William Blakes Ancient Of Days and the Lampads of the Greek Underworld. Unfortunately don't have any pictures available to give a visual. But am so desperate for more :-)

I've heard a lot of people talk about how great Temple is. The friend who did my designs tried to get an appointment with someone there and they were booked like 6 months in advance! I think Brian only started working at Sacred recently? He used to work at Braindrops in SF, then he owned Warlock in the Mission. Sacred as a shop is pretty typical (they seem to do a lot of flash) but Brian is anything but. Fantastic artist, does awesome color, refuses to do flash.
