So many sleeping and independent babes!
Butterbobbin- I love the dress! Those kind of pictures are so special. (My mom has my 6month, 1 year etc outfits. Unfortunately, Chad's mom can't even find a good baby picture, so there will be no twin picture there. Sad.)

wolverine reached for my coffee cup today and then held it by the handle and put his mouth on it and tried to drink from it! it was empty and i made sure he wouldn't drop it of course. i think it may be time to get him some of his own cups to practice with. I don't think we have any that are baby friendly.
Also he has been hilariously laughing when i attack his tummy. i love this stage!

Also he has been hilariously laughing when i attack his tummy. i love this stage! Tank, we got grey one of these http://doidycups.com/He does a pretty good job with it. He always wants to drink whatever I am drinking, so this cup is nice because it gives him more control without being a sippy cup. He was not a fan of the sippy cup and my lactation consultant said to just go straight to regular cups if your baby prefers!

Oh my god you guys, Walter put himself to sleep in his crib this afternoon for the first time ever. I put him in with some books and a few safe stuffed animals, laid down on the spare bed where he could see me, and read the paper and ignored him. After about 30 minutes of babbling and singing it got quiet and he slept for an hour! To celebrate we went to the library and colored and sat in the big kid chairs and banged on their keyboards. The older he gets, the more I love having a kid! We are having so much fun now that he can do stuff.

Development is so cool!
Grey has taken many steps while you hold his hands, but they are always shaky and whatnot. Last night my MIL was holding his hands and he just started going, he walked the whole length of the kitchen! He can stand for a few seconds unsupported. I know I am in for trouble once he is walking on his own, but it is so cool!

Wow! Great news Mitten and LB! OMG Grey is walking?! Development is crazy!
Leela just learned how to actually grab my nipple and manouever it into her mouth. This is huge for us. Instead of her crying and me having to wake up and help guide her as she blindly roots, this time I barely woke up.

Walking with support! Not on his own yet, thank goodness. But still nothing on crawling. He can turn himself around on his tummy, but that's it.

I gave Will his first "real" bath this morning. I had been avoiding it because he screamed and cried through every sponge bath, but he loved it! He was so content the whole time. We'll definitely be doing this again soon!

I need to be checking this thread more often. There are so many achievements! Good job babies and, of course, to the mamas that support them!
Madelyn is 7 weeks now and is working hard during tummy time to prop herself up. She gets is for a moment and then rests. She surprised us a couple times by rolling from her front to back. Not very gracefully or fast, but I think it's something that we'll be seeing more of. The cutest development by far is that she is trying to make noises back at us when we talk to her. Love it.

Today was Leela's 4 month appointment. She happily sucked down the rotavirus drops, where last time she cried the whole time, fussed a bit but stopped quickly after her shot and generally was a very happy baby. She weighs 15lbs and 12 oz and is 24.5 inches long - so 93% in weight and 50% in height... Apparently my boobs are supersizing her.
Its crazy how fast time is going.

HOW is Wolverine ready for a sippy cup! That is amazing. Leela is interested in our food, but shows no interest in cups or spoons yet. Which one did you get?

Carlos is starting to look at things a little more, which us exciting because at first he either had his eyes closed or just a vacant stare, which they said was normal because of when he was born. I also tried a pacifier with him today. He liked it. Now he is eating again. He is eating a lot, but sometimes he will finish both breasts and still be hungry, so then we are giving him my expressed milk. I am not sure if i am pumping enough to make up for it. Carlos had a weight check appointment yesterday and he is 7 pounds 7 ounces now, which is exciting. He is one month old today.

Which one did you get? well I am not sure if he is really ready but he loves cups so I figure I'd get him one to at least play with. I got him a nuby brand one. It can have a regular bottle nipple on it or a sippy spout on it and its BPA free and says it's for 3+ months. I seriously looked at sippy cups for like 10 minutes trying to pick one out. Did you know they made disposable sippy cups... so dumb. I really want him to stop using the bottles he likes because I hate that they have a disposable liner. It is the only one he would take.

Is it the playtex nurser? That's the kind babynut likes and I hate the liners, too.

Today, after we woke up, I seriously laid in bed next to him and sang to him and tickled him and stuff for like an hour, and every time he'd hear my voice or get a tickle, he'd look at me and start smiling. Man, I love this little guy.

Leela has started grabbing food! Today she grabbed a few leaves of greens and tried to shove them in her mouth and later she grabbed a handful of hot white beans with nootch and we had to wrestle them away from her.
The dreaded transitional poops aren't far away, are they?
