I was reading on another forum that a muslim woman DARES to request a female doctor, especially when she doesn't have a family member with her. How dare she come to 'our' country and request us to cater to her when she is a guest of 'our' country?

Which brings up a question, do people not realize that there are muslim Americans? One of my old roommates was a muslim convert and one of my bestest friends was raised muslim by her muslim father/christian mother. And to top it off, I go to a muslim run ob/gyn doctors office. I mean, I don't know, it doesn't seem to me its hard to recognize that there are muslim americans.

From what I can tell, there are over a million American muslims beyond the ones that are awaiting citizenship/working legally in the country.
