Please request the Venger in battle cat attire. I am on my way for an epic swim/raft/film/adventure/event. We will win best damn documentary at Big Award Show™ next year and start our own Vegan Cat Magazine.

Buhbah is already editor-in-chief at SCM (Senior Cat Magazine)! We are very proud. Venger and Panda are welcome to apply for a paid internship.

Glad you aren't going to do anything secretive. I think Buhbah totally belongs to you. I agree with whoever said to get your vet bills in order and show how much you've spent on the cat after he was given to you. I don't think they have a leg to stand on legally if they are stupid enough to take it to court.
And your landlord is completely unprofessional for discussing any of your business with your neighbors! What the hell?

Civil progress, guys! Basically everyone at that house (a lot of people) is fine with Buhbs being ours, but the lady I mentioned is trying to hold onto him because she is going through menopause and Buhbah apparently helps her (nutcase--he's never over there). Things look in our favour for a change though. I think we'll be able to work this out without more drama.

Buhbah on the run.
But no! Yay for no-Buhbs dramaturgy! <3

I'd be hesitant to let him outside unsupervised with crazy pants over there. I'm all invested in your situation and afraid she's going to steal him.

We have a spy on the inside who is fighting for us. Buhbah is curled up in his box fort. The hardest part is that we don't move until late April! I think crazypants is just going to stay in disapproval till the end, but her laissez-faire husband isn't in denial and likes us. If she wasn't so crazy, we'd adopt an SPCA cat for her. Like Jasmine, whom I kind of want...to be Buhbah's hot new friend. http://victoria.kijiji.ca/c-pets-cats-k ... Z358271529

This thread makes me weep. :( vijita wrote: I feel like I have to tell the internet this because he is such a sensation. We had to leave Buhbah with his old family. It is absolutely heartbreaking and has been horrifically complicated and sad for us. One of his "owners" just retired and we had a long, long. long discussion with her. I don't really want to talk much more about it, but I am gutted. I know the little dude is going to adjust better than myself, so I'm taking solace in that. Anyway, losing Buhbah is the worst thing about 2012 for me. I miss you, little buddy. So so so so so so so much.

Oh Buhbah. I hope now that his owner has retired they will miraculously start taking better care of him and giving him lots of love. And that you can adopt another cat who needs a good home. So sorry about this; I was very hopeful for a better outcome.

Thanks everyone. We have spies checking for Buhbah health and happiness. An Australian couple just moved into our place and they love him, so at least he has replacements, as sad as that is for us. And everyone on the block is looking out for the little guy, so maybe this was better than introducing him to a new environment.
We went to the SPCA today and barring my landlord's word (which will be fine, she just couldn't be reached while we were there), we'll be taking home a little black cat tomorrow. She's been in the SPCA since 2011 which is tragic because she is such a sweet and beautiful little girl.
