I'm able to bring speculoos but I don't want to be lugging that + my luggage (hey, I'm a lady) around all saturday.

I got an e-mail from Eurostar there are extra security checks entering the UK so 'you have to consider a delay of 30 minutes if you're travelling further on in the UK'. So I'm not entirely sure which train we'll be able to take down to Brighton (also, I don't have tickets for that yet).

I have a very busy week and I'm stressed out I can't properly look into things! But I'm excited about seeing you all!

I wasn't really thinking about you having to lug 12 tonnes of speculoos from there to here... don't worry if it's a problem -- I can always order some from the interwebs!

I got some speculoos off Ebay and with the shipping it was cheaper than ordering it from belgium like I did last time.

i'm going too! just booked my train tickets - i'll be arriving at Hove station at 12:13.

how much is speculoos in Europe, generally? i'd been planning to bring some back from the US, but i'll take some off your hands if you have it!

Speculoos is 2,09 euro a jar in the supermarket and I "charge" a donation to an animal charity of your choice for what you think it's worth to you or what you can afford.

Me neither. I think were at 14 people now, so if you can bring two normal size jars, I'll bring the other 12.

Note to all others:
- Bring a bag that can carry some stuff!!
- with the exclusion of 4 people*, I'll be handing out speculoos on a first come first served basis.
- I plan to bring 14 packs of speculoos custard and 12 jars of speculoos. Please be so kind to literally take that load of my shoulders at the first opportunity.

Actually, this is not only the first vegfest for me, but the first actual veg* fair I've ever been to, never got around to go to one back in Sweden. So excited!

Shall we meet for 2 then? That seems to give people more time to get there and what not. Plenty of us will already be around probably. PM me if you want to exchange digits (I've always wanted to say that)*.

2 sounds good to me. My sister bailed so I won't be as rushed as I thought.

Also, Veg_Eric is like Speculoos Santa.

Thanks Veg_E, I'll make sure that I bring a bag so I can take the Speculoos off your hands ASAP!

I'm super excited about meeting up with everyone & 2 sounds good to me.

You guys! I forgot to mention, if you want anything from Lupe Pintos (Hershey's syrup, liquid smoke, tinned tomatillos, etc.), let me know before 5pm Friday. As with V_E, you'll need to take it off my hands as soon as possible since I don't want to haul stuff around all day.

Just to say that I am staying in the Hilton (not as posh as it sounds- I got a good deal!) which is less than 10 minutes' walk from the Hove Centre, so if anyone buys stuff or wants to offload heavy stuff for the afternoon then it could go there when I check in at 1500.

I am mixing business with pleasure by trapping myself on a train for four and a half hours each way in the hope that I actually do some marking out of sheer boredom! Seriously can't wait- I'm going to see lots of fabulous people!

Which website are you using? The trainline? I have never not been able to buy to tickets for any train at the station on the day (like, within 10 mins of travelling) they just tend to be a bit more expensive. Which train station are you trying to buy tickets from?

What website are you using? I just searched London Kings Cross > Brighton, on http://www.southernrailway.com/ and there are tickets available for tomorrow.

Eurotunnel train, or London-Brighton? If it's the latter, you can buy them at the train station but will cost more than if you got them online.
