Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale 2012

Please don't shoot me if there is an existing thread! I searched and only found US ones, I scrolled a few pages here and didn't see one :)

I'd love to arrange or take part in something in Manchester on Sat 21st or Sun 22nd April. Is anyone planning anything? Does anyone know of any fairs/markets happening that weekend?

I'm going to do some serious research tonight, and have emailed the Manchester Markets people re: Chorlton market, but if anyone has any ideas or tips I'd really appreciate it :)

Yep, there's going to be one in Glasgow on the 28th that I said I'd help out with.

Actually, don't you have a cupcake-carrier, Rachell? If by some crazy random happenstance you are round these parts prior to then, might I get a wee lend? No worries if not though, I think I have some boxes kicking around! Or I just might make traybakes and cookies!

Ooh, yes, I do, and it's just sitting around gathering dust! I also have some old chocolate/biscuit tins that are big enough to hold cookies and/or muffins/cupcakes. I'm not sure if I can get to Glasgow twice next month, but I could get there early on the day and help out (thus bringing my carrier before you have to transport things). Let me know details and I'll see what I can do.

Apparently I am in denial that April is but days away, haha (no, but seriously? It's almost forking April already? Jebus hell.) Anyhoo, if I recall correctly, I don't think it starts til noon so not suuuuper early, but I still gots to get the full deets. I will try to establish more concrete info asap tho!

Anyone here in Greater Manchester? Or Glasgow folks, any tips on finding a venue? It's frustratingly difficult to find out "what's on" in Manchester as sites such as City Life and Manchester Confidential seem to focus mostly on restaurants/bars/cinemas/beauty, etc. Or maybe I am looking in all the wrong places :)

Interrobang, do you know if they still need people/have space for cake? (I don't remember Lush having all that much space! I suppose if they moved some of the soaps for the day it would be better.)

I should be going along to that too :) Still trying to find an event or venue for a Manchester bake sale - the cake's the easy bit!
